PC Engineer (A+) Course Certification Reviews
Eversince I started this course I have managed to build my own computer which I have managed to Windows XP OS and its faster computer than the one I bought in town when I started the course. The other thing I am happy with is being able to do hexadecimal conversions which I didn't know.I am very excited with the level I have reached now, where everything about OS and BIOS is being unvailed

I started the cisco course in summer 2005 but had a lot of time spent working away and doing nothing with the course. It was only when I was told I get payed that I woke up. I enjoy using computers and love a challenge, reason I'm up to go the full track with this course. I as askd if it was money that made me want to do that little bit more but I can honestly say no. I just want to acheive that little bit more and if the better job comes along I can say I earned it. and I hope everyone that does the courses offered on the skillstrain gets up and goes with it. please don't think my job will do it if it doesn 't.

First of all I want to say that since I started this course Last year I found it very interesting from day to day because it makes me very busy anb gives me the will to search and increase my knowledge in IT and I every time I submit an assignement and get the successfull result in pushs me more to work harder and with self confidence, evn if I always come back very tired from work but I still find the energy to study. Two week ago a freind of mine called because he bought a new PC but he didn't know how to use it and how to install some programs and to organise his files and desk top so I did help him and I was very happy because it was a agood practise for me and gave me a self confident to practice what I gained from the course.

When I started this course I dident think I would do as well as I have with 3 children and no job. I though it was time to get my life back on the rail so someone told me about this course and I gave it a go I'm getting good results and I like do the work and now I have my life back.

Its being very difficult for me in the past to even find time to study and so for a long time I was not doing any assignment. In fact I even called the office to ask them if I can be allowed to drop the course as I was not gaining anything from it. I am a father of three kids which is by UK standards a large family, so I barely have enough time on my own. If I am not at work, Iam helping my wife to care for the kids.
So, how did I do it?
Lately, as you can see, I have decided to fight it through and go through it all the way. I will hasten to confess that without any physical interaction between you and your tutor by way of practice, the course is a bit boring. But I got alot of inspration from my wife to carry on. So here I am, making sure that I send in one assignment every week. What I do is to try as hard as I can to read in advance of my last assignment and then as soon I get my marked assignment, I immediately answer the new one I have been reading. I work late shift, so I read in the morning before going to work in the afternoon.
Thats my story, its determination to go through it and nothing else.

I have finally completed my first folder even though I had intended to complete it earlier, but due to work commitments (stressful and long)it had been delayed, also during the last month my pc has continuosly been playing up due to a virus of some sort(now sorted hopefully)and to top it off I have been trying to purchase my house and do it up.

I SUCCEEDED IN TAKING A BOLD STEP INTO THE FUTURE BY APPLYING AND GETTING ACCEPTED IN THE SKILLSTRAIN COLLEGE. I AM JUGGLING STUDYING FOR MY MASTERS DEGREE AND THAT OF SKILLSTRAIN. IT HAS NOT BEEN EASY BUT I DO CHERISH THE JOY OF LEARN SOMETHING EVERYDAY

My main achievement so far, is being able to do my studying for my Course Syllabus. As it has been a long time, since I last done any studying. Not since I done my HND in Computing & Network Support in 2004. It has been quite hard as I work full-time doing "early shifts and back shifts". I try to find the time to do my studying without any interruptions. I am enjoying it throughly though as I learn again about computers and what makes them tick tock.

I have tried to study with several IT institutions which proved futile and unproductive until I came in contact with skillstrain. In those institutions I wasted time, money, and energy with little or no progress.
Skillstrain have provided me with the right platform to pursue my A+, N+ & CCNA at the comfort of my home and at a flexible payment method.
The course is well structured and the study materials are fantastic.
The student world has been a great revalation since I can now monitor my progress in the course which encourages me to study hard because the future is bright. Thank you for making my future bright.

My best achiement so far is the wriiten section in TMA 14A A+ 2003, this was the first time I had written a test paper for computer maintenance.
I have just got my results for this subject and passed 100%, Im really chuffed with this.

I started my CCNA course in Dec 2006 ,and I am nearly about to finish my A+ certification. I have worked hard to get such good marks.(average 90%)
even though I work full time, but I save my time for my assignments, and I can say with pride that I have gained a lot by doing these assignments.
many thanks
-Devender
Despite working nearly full-time, managing the home, garden etc. I have still found time to study and to get the elusive 100% on my assignments, which leaves me thrilled to bits!

When I first started this course I had little knowledge of computers but as I studied the more things became clear to me I can now build my own pc as well as maintain them, ihave already built two pc and my friends have asked me to build for them. I also work nights managing the family business one of the main reasons I took this course was to give me the nessacery skills to change my career at first I was a little wary but as the course has progressed I feel that I have gained valuble knowledge to help me achive my goals I now belive that if you put your mind to it you can do what you want and I would like to thank all my tutors for the help and support that I have recieved and also a special thank you to the gentleman who came out to see me in the begining and told me about the course and who belived in me to recommend me to the college because at the time I was in a bad way financially.

After the prolonged illness of my father and death that followed I lost all will to continue with the course as I had completely gone off the rails. on the first of Feb. I thought about where I was going and what I was doing pulled myself back togeather and set about the task of reading through all the course work and tutor notes you gave me in an attempt to learn all the N+ course again with I think has worked to give a better understanding than I got first time round so with renewed will I'm hopfully stronger than before I've sent TMA13 which I think will give me the best mark or result I've got during this part of the course.

Hi over the last month I have helped my father put a pc-tv card into his pc . He was really surprised saved his £100.00 what they were charging in my local shop for parts and labour. This is all down to part b of my course so in return im paying £100 a month but iv just saved my father £60 buy installing a tv-card into his pc for free. The only problem now is the rest of my family have heard about it and im getting all kinds of request like build me a pc , put more memory in my pc. I think as I devlope on my course I will start charging everone for fixing their pc. Im actual today going to my relatives house to put a memeory card into his pc. I cant wait to finish the course and start charging!!!

At first I wanted to start the course, was eager etc, until........ I opened the Course Work file. I looked at it............ and again looked at it, and wondered had I done the right thing in enrolling.
I was overwhelmed by the content and amount of information. To say that I was daunted by the challenge, was a big understatement.
However, I started to plough through the course work.
After the first Two or Three sections I began to enjoy the work and I was learning.
I still feel a little daunted by some sections, but I am achieving good results and I have set my sights on finishing and achieving the Qualification.
However, I wonder how I can remember all the information to pass the final exam.

I am studying MCSE course with skills train, I found it very useful. At the begining I had very little knowledge about computers and always wanted to become a computer expert. Since I have started this course with skills train it seems that I have learned and gained lots of knowledge and information regarding computers.
Lots of my friends when they face any problem with thier computers, they contact me to fix that and I am really happy for the course I am doing the materials are all excellent and also the support of the tutors.
A few weeks ago I was in internet cafe with a friend of mine who runs that small business and one of his customer downloaded some programes and it was attached with torjan virus so he started complaining regrading his network and that PC which was runing slowly and also the PC was stacking all the time. So he turned his face to me and tole me that as far as I know you are doing a computer course for almost a year so can you do somthing and sort out this problem. I was really embarresed and in my hearth I was saying oh God please do not make me down infront of these guys, so I started searching so I found a message was saying c: drive been affected by torjan virus so I installed norton live update system and scan his c: drive and found the exact address of the virus and carry out till I delete the virus and reboot the computer it was working as it was before. He was really happy for what I did and he offered me a part time job as PC Service Technician, I was very pride of myself. Now I am doing a part time job with him hopefuly very soon he will recruit me as full time and suddenly my dreams comes true.
I proud of my hard study and the great and excellent materials of skills train as well.

Behind every success there's always somebody , in my case my tutor team are the reason for my achievements.child minding is not a child's play , most especially if it has to do with a set of baby twins and a four year old girl, knowing that their parent will be home between 9 to 10pm at night. with this conditions I have been able to finish section 1 part A, with a minimum score of 75 and 80 percent and a maximum of 90 ,98 , 100 percent. I am currently in section in part B. I know by the time I am through with my MCSE course skillstrain would have completely trained A SOMEBODY OUT OF NOBODY.

Behind every success there's always somebody , in my case my tutor team are the reason for my success.you will quite agree with me that child minding is not a child's play ,most especially if it has to do with a set of twins and a four years old girl, knowing that you have some daily activities to carry out. At the end of the you only have little or or no time to study. In this conditions I have been able to finish section 1 part A with two minimum scores of 75 and 80 percent and a maximum of 90, 98 and 100 percent respectively and I am currently studying section 1 part B pre preparing to submit TMA 09 .It has not been easy with motivational advice from the tutor team I have been able to stay focus
-Victor
The materials are very well done and easy to undestand for anybody and the tutors are helpful. I passed my CompTIA A+ and N+ and now I am stdying CCNA. Good luck!!!

I am currently facing imminent threat of redundancy, which, at 50 years of age, leaves me feeling very worried and uncertain about my future prospects. My wifes job with the local council is also somewhat uncertain and so I feel the pressure is definitely on!
However, I continue to keep up with regular studies at the Network+ course and feel I am making good progress despite the stress.

I have worked hard under extreme pressure over the last few months. This has included two deaths in the family and finding out that my spouse has arthritis and needs a hip replacement done.
Despite these set backs I have kept a high level of pass marks for each TMA and hope to continue this work.
