Since begining this course I have been able to help alot more people with computer problem, including diagnosing problems with one of my own machines that would have caused alot more time spent otherwise. Even my boss has trusted me to diagnose and repair/upgrade his computer, which in itself is a massive acheivement.

Before I started this coarse, I had absolutly no idea about the technical side of computering, the most I could really do was run a program, game or just browse the net. Since I have started I have learnt much more than I had expected to and I feel I am doing exceptionally well, especially on my last paper. I believe I am keeping well within the estimated time needed to complete and due to my confidence I have set myself a personal goal to complete the entire works in under 12 months. I am more confident now with what I have learnt than I have ever been since starting this course and I definetly feel this could lead to a new career in an interesting and ever changing environment.

When I started my courses with the school, I didn't realise I was taken a bold step towards a future career.I did always envy those qualified ICT personnels whenever I saw them because I sincerely wished to be like them. But my programme with the school has made be see that I can be better than most of them. It has given me the courage to explore some hidden talents in me. I can now comfortably perfrom most hardware maintenances.I have finisghed my A+ and will be completing my N+ soon, then I will move on to CCNA and CCNP. Right now, I compliment with the college studies with a degree in ICT which I am running with the Opne University. Trust me, my courses with open university feels like work-overs because the college has taught me indepth about most of the things. The sky is not my limit for I will surely go above the sky once I successfully complete my courses with the college.I only wish I had started my courses with the college earlier than now, because I would had achieved more than I have now. Please, I have a message for the school and all the tutors;Keep doing what you are doing for you have changed most people's lives positively.Because of the college, my friends now look up to me for assistance with hardware probelms. Four of them will be enrolling with the college soon because they do envy me.I have taken care of my pc's registry problems because of what I learnt from the school. What an achievement! BRAVO TO YOU ALL!

My main achievements this month has to be my tutor marked assessments!!I have gained higher marks almost everytime!!!I am very happy with myself for doing so.

Another main achievement I have made this month thanks to the team members of this college, is I have been able to do private work involving my I.T skills that I have obtained due to the team members support, and the skills in which I have learnt through my course. The private work I have done is for people I know and people who have passed me on as a good name. This I am very happy about to, as it gives me experience and confidence in working in an I.T environment!!

I am an electrician by trade so work really long hours and managing to fit study and family pressures into my very busy day is hard work, but I do. when I first started this course I thought there was no way I would be able to understand the work. my kids have been great, but my wife has been so supportive that it drives me on to study in my spare time and to study the work. I have realised that I love learning new skills and how to sort my self out in finding time to study. what amazes me is that I can remember what I have studied when I sit and do the tma`s. I have repaired 3 computers in the last 3 weeks and am finding it easier each time to understand simple faults on p.c`s. when I started this course I didnt know much about i.t, I knew a bit but not as much as I do now. I can honestly say I really am enjoying the course I have enrolled on. thanks

Using the knowledge I've gained from doing only a small part of the A+ Netpro course due to my youth in the course (and actual) I'm slowly becoming an underground success in my area for PC repair and troubleshooting, although this May not be all that unique to make me stand out... I am after all (apparently) skillstrain's youngest student!!

For the past couple of years I have suffered from severe depression, during that time I have lost my job. And being a single father to a 15 year old son, and very little income, the stress and worries of survival have made things very difficult. Having started the course I have found that I have gained more confidense in myself and in my abilities of computer know how, having succeeded in obtaining 100% in my last 3 TMA's it has boosted my self confidence no end, especially as the last TMA sent was a written assesment and not multiple choice. I look forward to achieving other high marks and eventualy obtain the job I have always dreamed of in the IT industry, and earning enough money to look after my son in the way he deserves.

I am currently studying Computer systems engineering at Birmingham University and hoping to graduate this year. What I have learned at the University so far has got nothing to do with PC installation and maintenance. So I don't really regret joining Skills Train. I must say the course has broadened opportunities for me especially that I am a lady. I had the confidence to make my own PC which I am currently using. Last week I had to apply my N+ skills even though I am still doing Part A of N+, to put RJ45 connectors into cables and then connect PCs to the internet. This was fantastic. Well I must say your material was useful to me because I just had to recall the notes and did the job. I am hoping to finish N+ and cannot wait to start CCNA

I enrolled to A+ certification four months ago with no idea about computers. At the moment I am on TMA 17 and I have done the installation of Windows 98 and XP.I find myself climbing the IT ladder with no problems at all, I do not know if this is because the course is easy, or the booklets are well simplified and uderstandable with the help of tutors, or probably its just my overflowing intelligence. All I know is the climb is smooth.

I am working full time at the moment but my best thing is that I give the maximum output to whatever I do, whether it is a work or study...As you can see in my tutor marked assignment results.. success is reflected on my assignments. In lots of pressure in work, I am giving the great results..I consider it is an achivement that I made only by hard work

I have completed my CCNA Intro section 1 folder in 1 month, this has been a massive acheivement for me, as I am interested in the course and would like to develop my skills further in the Cisco career. I have also won the best striker award for my football team Brentford Football Club, for this month which I am really pleased about. I started the cisco course in September 2005 with the A+ and the netpro and have successfully finished this and now I am working towards the CCNA. This would of been finished along time ago but I am also a final year student at Brunel University studying BEng Computer Systems Engineering, so at this time you can imagine I am very stressed.

Well what can I say, Thanks Skills Train and the tutor team, with your help and a lot of hard studying I've passed the CCNA INTRO exam. I took it on the 7th Feb at Lewisham College. To say I was a bit nervous the night before is a bit of an understatement. I always had the thought at the back of my mind that 'had I learned enough, had I gone over and over my course work enough times for the relevent information to sink in?'. And the answer was yes, at my age (44) it proves that you still have the ability to learn and retain the important information.

Thank you all, I am now firmley on my way to a new career.

Since November 2006, which was the last month I handed an assignment in before a large gap, I had been in constant pressure not just in my full-time employment but the pressures that are involved in the arrival of a new born baby. Indeed as time passed I kept thinking about this course and started to ask myself questions whether I could find the time to complete it. This question was further interrogated when I successfully managed to land another full-time employment with a large company in leicester. This news came just before the arrival of our baby and the constant pressures, including stretched finances, just kept telling me that I should quit the course. But I just kept telling myself and prayed that I can make it work which was largely down to the potential rewards if successful.

Indeed just recently I have managed to find some time to get some assignments finished and I must admit handing in 4 assigments in just over a week is an accompishment considering that I have not done it before and the little time that I have at my disposal and also the fact that I do not have a computer at home hence all the submission is done at work. I just hope that I keep working in he same vain as I want to make this a success.

During the last month I have managed to complete 2 written modules scoring 100% in both whilst juggling a busy army career.

I was realy surprised at my first score in TMA01. I did not expect to score 100%. This surprised me and inspired me to just dedicate more time to my IT course as a promising career in the making already!!!. I can already see light at the other end of the tunnel in this carefully chosen career in IT. I wished I had started this course 'Yesterday'. I hope for the best and want to do all I can to keep a record score in my TMAs. Give more time to the course and therefore see my dream Job in this career come sooner.

Having completed the a+ section of the course I have applied the knowledge aquired and successfully saved my friends £100 's by accurate diagnosis of their problems. One constant I have notice is unscrupulous pc repair shops always tell people the motherboard needs replacing when the fault lies solely with the PSU.

I have been studying the A+, and N+ coursework simultaneously for two and a half years now, I sat the first section exam for A+ in July 2006 and passed. I sat the second section A+ exam in September 2006 and failed (by only 31 points). My wife started a major 4 month dispute with her employer, which has just ended to our advantage, I then had surgery in December, Then there was Christmas, our house finally sold in January, and we are trying to organise our emigration to Cyprus for February! So needless to say I have been cancelling and rescheduling my A+ resit for quite a while now, as we are due to move out of our home on Feb 7th, I had to take my re-sit in late January with virtually no studying as my books were all packed away! Guess what?.....I passed, WooHoo! Scored 567, which is an improvement in my score of 98 points, I am well pleased, being A+ certified will get me work easier in Cyprus, and I'll continue my N+ coursework during the summer months.
2007 is becoming a great year already.

Since I started this course, I want to say I have achieve success. I have discover many things which I do not know before. I can now work with the internet, upgrade my system, network communication and also about the various computer viruses, troubleshootings, OSI model etc. I want to thank the tutors for making my dreams comes through.

I feel that I have made many achievements throughout this course. I am a full time mum of 2 year old twin girls with one on the way. Looking after my children is obviously my first priority however, I still manage to study a few hours a night if not every other night. Having children has made me even more determined to do my best throughout the course as it will enable me to better their lives by being able to earn a good wage. Out of 16 tests I have passed 6 tests with 100% and I feel proud of this accomplishment. None of this would be possible without the help and support of my tutors or the love and support of my family. I don't expect to win this however I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made it possible for someone in my position to further their education and to gain better prospects for a career.

I am 31 years old, father of three children and husband of a loving wife. I am full time employed, I do at least eight hours a day five days a week including early mornings and late nights - really demanding. My children are happy and noisy (and my wife). It is not easy to keep up with the study time-table I have created myself because I literally do not have time to study during the day. Every day when the kids are in bed, everything has calmed down I just want to sit down, watch TV or chill out...I don't. I take my study material and start the second half of my day. My mother tongue is Hungarian so I have to pay extra attention to every word that I read to be able learn everything properly. Usually I stay up late night or wake up early when my family is sleeping. I am very serious about being as successful as possible in my new career. Since I have started the course I gave up smoking, changed to a healthier lifestyle including exercises, diet, etc.. My first TMA results were 95-100%. I think these are great achievments over a short period of time and I believe it will remain the same in the future just to show how thankful I am for the chance I was given by Skillstrain.

I have worked so hard for the past 6months to get where iam now,and with the dead line for the 2003 objectives for the a+ around the corner I am well prepared to take the exams within the next 2 months as I have finished the a+ course with results averaging 80% and above, after I complete my n+ by the end of 2007 I want to proceed to doing the cisco qualifications or the mcsa/mcse with skillstrain as I have the advantage of controlling my life and study when I am free without affecting my work life, but I have learnt a lot and cant wait to passing my exams and getting a better job as working in a chicken factory aint getting me nowhere.

I would also like to thank all the tutors for the help they offered me and in making sure that all problematic areas where made simple thank you for everything

I consider myself lucky doing an A+/N+ course with Skillstrain. This is because it is convinient and very well organised or should I say well structured?
I have a teenage girl and a ten year old boy who all depend on my assistance with their work. It has not been easy having to be there for them, having to go to work to sustain other needs, having to support my husband who is on fulltime studies at the university and HAVING TO STUDY MYSELF.

I must admit that being in this course has positively challenged me towards being more organised.I have learnt more of how to set my goals and targets.
I recently started N+ and all is going very well.
