The internet training was fun, It really helps and it's a change from sitting down reading a book. It's a fun way to learn and I think people learn alot better/faster from this style of training.

perfect :)

The course on learning styles was very interesting and helpful. I enjoyed every minute of it.

The course on using Student World did include some areas I had not previously used, so was worth doing.

I think my achievement would have to be trying to keep going through the course after the loss of a very good friend at work, he was very young so it was a big shock. I have kept going with the course not as often as I could have but with things like that on your mind it is hard to concentrate.

I'm a single mum looking after my very ill disabled son I'm doing the web master course and fingers crossed when I have finished it starting my own business, I have just started my front page section which I'm looking forward to learning. I am doing this so I can help my sons life and also make my own business.

I have just received my latest TMA result 90 percent. I am just so delighted with the results so far. TMA INTO 1 100 percent, TMA INTO 2 95 percent TMA INTO3 88 percent. Just great.
I have little time to study due to business and various family commitments. the last three years have been really horrendous just trying to keep my head above water. With two six month periods with no work at all this has been a very stressful time. On top of this I have an eighty nine year old father who lives on his own but is very demanding and gets upset about the smallest thing.
My own confidence had taken a nosedive during this period and I had become depressed about everything I was was doing. questioning every little thing and on occasions making a mountain out of a mole hill. I can only thank my wife and two grown up children for putting up with me during this time. They have no doubt been the inspiration which I needed to fight back. It was their encouragement which has given me the courage to do this course. The results I am getting have given me a new outlook (no pun intended on life and the future. My confidence grows daily and I hope I am a better person for it.
I am looking forward to the coming month in learning more and using the knowledge I am gaining to the benefit to of all. I am enrolling on an adult teaching course which starts in the autumn and with the knowledge I am gaining from this course I am doing now I hope to pass on to others a degree of what I have gained. Knowledge is a powerful thing, the internet is knowledge, thanks for giving me a chance to express my gratitude to all concerend.

I started my course In February 06. Due to a lot of family problems in the summer of that year my studying was severely effected. Fortunately things have got better now, but then I went and changed jobs. Looking at my last couple of months I think I have done exceptionally well, I work very hard shift patterns which mean I have to study early into the mornings sometimes, I also have to juggle my main job with two other teaching posts that I hold. I have recently managed to submit an assignment every 2 weeks and every one of them has had marks of 90% or more which has given me a great sense of achievement and makes me want to study more and more.

I got 90% in my 1st tutor assessment. I've just completed chapter 2 in one weekend and left it a few days before taking the next tutor assessment so it wasn't so fresh in my head, which I have emailed to the teaching department. I've become sucked into the course now and I'm studying as much as I can, I'm reading every night before I go to bed for at least one hour and on the weekends I'm reading when I wake up for at least three hours and at least two hours before I go to bed that evening. I'm hoping to have completed the third chapter by next weekend.

Hello, my achievements last month (February) was that I completed and received back my first TMA 01. Unfortunately, I was not able to start the course last year like I wanted to because of lots going on in my life. I decided I wanted to start the course, as circumstances improved, and was so thrilled to receive my first TMA with a mark of 95%. I really, really hope that this is the way of things to come. I really enjoy doing the course. I am new to this, but I am thrilled that I have picked a new career to pursue that I can eventually work from home with my own business.

Thanks to my course tutors.

Hi there, I really wanna share my feelings about this course. My first TMA result was 80% second was 85% and the third one was 95%, now I am waiting for my fourth TMA result which I believe will be 100%. I think I have learned alot and at the same time I'm going deeper in to the subject. At the start I was not sure what I was doing but now I seem like I am loving it.

Well I've been doing the ciw website design management course for almost year although at the start I found it hard to do the course and work full time and keep seeing my long term girlfriend but recently its all coming together with pure determination and I've made up for the 2 months I lost up with a damaged eye about 6 or 7 months ago which meant I could not do any work at this time, but like I said it is now all coming together and really hoping to get a great job at the end of it.

I have already introduced my girlfriend to do a book keeping course and would recommend anyone to do it.

Since I joined skills train last year I have learnt so much. Even when I thought I knew all there was to know. Skill Train can help you so much, As when your self teach like myself you don't always pick up everything about each subject but skills train breakes it all up and you learn so quickly and so easy I advise anyone who wants a career in computers to join. You can work at your own time as well which I've found very useful as I love to hang about with my friends still as I'm only 17 but I'm looking forward to my future in website design thanks to skills train.

I submitted my first TMA on 25/11/06 and have have just completed my 11th for marking (which I'm sure will be 100%). Currently standing at an average of 91.90% for the total TMA's I am a bit disappointed as a couple of questions I didn't read properly. Never mind.

I have been in I.T now for 22 years. As a Systems Administrator. I work for a large company running production on my own supporting Unix, Windows servers, network and all the office environment. Supporting the on-line production lines and 1st line PC's repair whether it be hardware or software. Responsible for all the nightly security backups and Monitoring. etc. One of my many projects is Business Continuity for the company, where one of the tasks was to completely rebuild the company Web Cluster. This I have just completed and ready to go live. My next task will be the File Cluster and Domain servers etc.
I work 12 hour shifts and always plenty of overtime, which is none refusal as there are only four of us, one per shift. I work nights and days, every Sunday and every second Saturday.

Why am I telling you all this?

The reason is that there is always time to study no matter how few hours you May find in a day. If I can do it with all the activities that I'm involved with at work and hardly appear to be at home then so can you. Even 30 minutes a day will help.

I am currently studying CIW Website Design Manager and wish I had started this before now. The course up to now is very good indeed and I would recommend to anyone who wishes to advance into this world. Like I said prior. I have been in I.T for 22 years and have a vast amount of knowledge in a lot of areas and have programming experience. But since starting this course I have learnt a vast amount of things that I never knew. It goes to prove that you never know everything in you trade. This course has proven that. To complete this course is something that I have pledge to do. Not purely for another career but to advance my skills and knowledge for the company I work for.

Anybody who has thought of this course then please give it a go. Very good indeed and have you seen the course syllabus? phew. With passing this exam you could get a job in any area of I.T.

Having started my course in January I feel I have done very well so far,
TMA01 100%, TMA02 95% and TMA03 100%. After achieving very good marks in my TMA's early on I slipped up a little with my last one TMA04 and only achieved 72% which was a great disappointment to me. I put this down to tiredness and a slight lack of concentration given that my life is too busy for just one person. Currently I am working full time, taking care of my loving, pregnant girlfriend who suffers badly from IBS, designing two websites, one for a dental clinic and the other for a paint company, managing a project to develop a junior fly fishing club in my local community and studying. I have taken the decision to put on hold a few of my more time consuming past times on hold in order to concentrate fully on my studies and I am sure this will show in my latest TMA submitted this evening.

Given that we all need a little "kick in the Butt" sometimes and having received mine with a disappointing 72%, I am taking the appropriate action to ensure I dont in my eyes fail again.

My achievement in TMA03 with a 100% result was an excellent achievement for me as I was under a lot of pressure and juggling myself in between work, family and studies, I consider it a great achievement as during the time I was studying my husband had to go out of the country for a long period which left me struggling with 3 children demanding for attention in homework etc, managing the household single handed, going to my full time job plus studying for my TMA03. So completing TMA03 and getting 100% pass was a remarkable.
