I started this course in January and my progress has been rapid and steady, there has been some challenges, some days I don't feel like studying etc. However, I decided to always make a step to move forward daily. I decided that I would finish in record time. and its been good so far, I am on section2 with two more sections to go. My advise to all. strive to be diligent and proficent in whatever you do. Be the best and reach for solutions. You can.
On the 23rd of May, I did my first exams and passed with a high A (93%)....You can too. Look forward to doing a couple of exams in June.

After only starting on the course for under a month I feel I have made real good progress. I have submitted two of my first tutor marked assignment and passed, and one of my second tutor marked assignments which I passed with an 85% mark.
I have just submitted my third tutor marked assignment and I feel I have learned alot in this first month than what I've ever learned since I got into IT.
I feel very proud of myself and also feel that I will pass this course with flying colours.

I am from Estonian and am 54 yrs old. Sometimes my understanding is weak and my nose is in Dictionary, but I think that I am managing more or less. My results are not bad: from 80%-100%.

I work nights from 2300-0700 5 days a week, 21 miles from home..drop the kids off to school every morning and pick them up later on after 4 hrs of sleep, and find time to squeeze in at least an hour and a half of study time just to pass my TMA's in time. Two days within the week, I go to my part-time job but I want to finish my course and there's no way around it but more hard work and everytime I receive a progress report, I feel rewarded.

I'VE INCREASED MOST OF MY MARKS TO ACHEIVE BETTER, I'M STUDYING UNDER PRESSURE WHILE ALSO BRINGING UP MY 2 KIDS I BELEIVE I'VE ACHEIVED ALOT BY THIS,AS I THOUGHT, BEFORE I STARTED THIS COURSE THAT I WAS UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING WITH 2 KIDS ON MY OWN. BUT NOW I KNOW I CAN DO IT AND I'M GOING TO GET BETTER EACH TIME.

When I was in the Philippines, I didn't know nothing about how to create websites, how to use photoshop, flash, dreamweaver but when I moved to London..I really learned a lot! All of my friends and family say I'm good at computers, actually I'm not. I enrolled in a course with Skillstrain, CIW WebDesign Manager, back then I had no motivation in learning this course until I enrolled again to Lambeth College. They thought me a lot about web design. I felt I couldn't do 2 courses at once so I stopped learning from skillstrain.. Then I suddenly thought about it. Learning from lambeth College and learning from Skillstrain, I could combine the 2 and gain more knowledge I can achieve it well. That's why I'm alive and kicking to continue this course!
I don't have GCSE qualification that's why I can't enroll on some courses.. Now I have! and I'm proud of it! I still don't have GCSE but I have A levels!

I am really studying hard in the course which I have taken, and my wish is to master this Webdesign course with E-commerce and Project Management. I am very happy studying with Skillstrain as you guys are very well organise.
I am doing my best to take advantage of this opportunity. I am working full-time and its not really easy to work and study at the sametime.
I always think of my dad who always told me... where there's a will there's a way...?

I am burning the midnight candles mostly everyday... I just want to master my subject and want to be very good at it.
My first assignment I scored 90marks...which I am quite proud. I was aiming 100mks actually. And it was a silly mistake.I hope my 2nd assignment would be 100mks which am still waiting for my results.

Thank you for giving a little time to me.

I have left any form of study for over 7 years but I found it quite amazing to read and grasp all the notes I have to read on my course ,plus I have a family to take care of, and I work too.I find it interesting enough to put at least 3 hours of reading everyday even when it's not convenient.

My major achievements include: From the 1st of March 2007 to 11th of June 2007, I have been able to complete CIW Version 5 Section 1- part A to B and part of C (TMA 01- 11). As a final year LLM student and with my priestly duties, a lot of effort and commitment were put in place to reach this far, and also studied course materials thoroughly and this is reflected in my marks for the various assignments.

I have achieved an understanding of how to make my computer run faster, I've taught other people how to download plug-ins, designed a myspace website for a friend. I find it easy to search for the specific information I need using different search engines, I have improved my knowledge of basic computer skills and intend to become very good at it .

I recently split from my partner, and consequently have had to change my job so that I can afford to keep my home. My new job requires I work 12 hour rotating day and night shifts. I really wasn't sure whether I would be able to cope holding the job down and continuing with my course, but despite the odds... I am just about to do my 7th TMA... fingers crossed.

Before I enrolled, I was working as a youth worker, struggling to make ends meet, struggling to feed my family, constantly looking in the evening mail to get a well paid job. Due to the fact that I work, work and work and make hardly anything. I rang around a few companies I came across to enroll on a CIW course because I had some knowledge of HTML and knew how to make standard websites. I had a little dreamweaver knowledge and thought enrolling on the CIW Website Design Manager would be great to further my knowledge and hopefully progress me onto a better career. Than I saw it... an advertisement for skillstrain. After speaking to an advisor, I was stunned to see and be told how affordable the price was... Brilliant I thought. Enrolled on the course and now after a month, I've reached Section 1, Part B and have handed in 7 TMA's. Gaining an average 96% in my TMA's. I haven't reached the stage of using dreamweaver or being taught it, that's all done in Section 4, Part B but I use it to do websites on a regular basis. I've even been asked by various organisations to do websites for them and now that I know how to incorparate java,I know how to use frames and use fireworks to do image maps and graphic design, logo's and banners for websites. Now I can make a professional looking website for business organistions and consumers.

At the moment, I'm working on a online shop for a friend of mine, who will be selling laptops, mobile phones and other electrical equipment as part of his company. Taking payment via credit card, debit card and pay pal and dispatching goods to the buyer after purchase.

The only time I'm happy is when I'm doing my course and all this is possible thanks to skillstrain and there team of tutors, I can now further my knowledge and be taught more and gain a great qualification, which will lead me onto a better career for an affordable price.

I am not only working harder but also securing excellent scores in TMAs in my CIW course. I have set a predetermined goal in this course that is: after successful completion of the prescribed course I will become a professional practical tutor in web designing, I will register an e-business and start delivering quality efficient services to valued customers, I will leave a good image from my e-business. For this I really need to go into deeper in CIW course, which I am getting in from different sources; tutor, websites, student world, success stories, reading materials and so and so forth. I presume that my dearest tutors will provide me as many feedback as possible timely, in fact, which I am experiencing.

I am a full time employer, working in a fashion industry is the busiest environment you could ever think of. Little did I know about computers when I started the course but I am proud to say that with so much dedication and determination I have done really well with my first two TMA's. My course book seems easier to understand now, compared to the first day I opened it. It looked so complicated.

This is the first time I have entered for the student of the month, I though it May be a good idea now I have completed 10 assignements. I gave up my full time career 2years ago because my wife is disabled and we have three young children and me going out to work for 10-12 hours wasn't working for us, my health was suffering and the family was too, it is a full time job being the primary carer in the house, let alone studying through the course, my days are long early start and late to bed, plus, 4 out of 7 nights can be mainly sleepless due to the disability in the family. I was very unsure how I would cope with the course, I spend alot of time up and down from study being called upon which can be very difficult for concentrating, however I really suprised myself by getting an average mark of around 94%, I am looking forward with anticipation to taking the foundation exam in the very near future.
