Hi, how you doing, hope your well!
I think my best achievement was in 2001, when I went to Romainia with my father, who has now passed away August, last year who worked for London Probation; and the Metropolitan Police, to help the Romainian Orphans.
My task was this, as two of the officers (X-Flying Sqaud) could not attend I had to head up the eletrical project, which to say the least was a shock because in Romainia in the small mining town of Lo Pen, 200 miles from the Capital its not 240 VAC it's 3 phase, so I had to step it down from 415-420 VAC to 240.
So as you can see I already had problems which I had to solve as this fact was not know!
Anyway I did solve this and continued on to install three 240 V ring mains, one at 30A with 9 double socket's a second also at 30A with two turets with double sockets and one lighting ring main with 6 fluresent tubes at 6 FT and one switch; and set up 6 computers which were donated by Probation in just 12 Days on a 14 day trip, I done it in 10 with one other aid who was some help?
Also recieved a Merit award from Sir John Stephons of the Met, well chuffed!!!!

My latest achievement will be completing the A+, N+, and the CCNA here at Skillstrain!

From the time of me starting this course, I didn't know much as I do now. Take this course at a very high price and its pays off knowing that I'v learnt a lot, But iv still got a long way to go.
I'm not doing this to win any thing just to let you know on how much I need to lern about computers. If it wasnt for my brother on doing web designing I wouldn't have learnt about SkillsTrain..

Despite everything I've been threw the last month which with out going into detail is pretty heart breaking I've managed to pull threw and get on with my course. I have found it hard to concentrate with my personal problems mounting up on my shoulders what with work as well but to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel helps me push on.

I have just checked my progress on my TMA02,and was pleased to see that I did well. The biggest achievement for me is that I was very nervous about remembering all the information needed to do this course,as I was never very good at it at school. Now, twenty years later I am finding that at my own speed, I can take the information in and remember it.
My biggest fear I had towards doing this course is now not really a problem anymore.
Thank you SKILLSTRAIN for giving me this opportunity.

I have not been doing my course for long, I'm doing comptia A+,N+ and cisco and have put 3 TMAs in so far, I was really worried that I was not going to do very well, as I am Dyslexia which can get in the way some times, which it did a little when I was in the Army, some years ago.
I do have to work very hard, but as I won't to go back to work, after a long time off work helping my wife and looking after my 5 children who are all nearly in full time school.
I decided I needed to start thinking about trying to get back into work, which my wife agrees, any way I was so pleased when I put my 1st TMA in, I had 90% then 85% for my 2nd TMA and 100% for my my 3rd TMA.
I hope I can keep thees assignment marks up. Mind you with the support from my wife and the tudor's from the skills train I'm sure I can.
thanks skills train

Working full time and studying is a big challenge in itself, but is a challenge I was prepared to take. I have a very good study schedule which of-course has been a key to my achievements in terms of submitting my assignments in time. My big challenge however was when I got sick and spent 4 weeks in hospital, this is the time I thought my dreams of becoming a Network engineer was over, because the Doctors didn't know what was wrong with me,and each day passed my health was becoming worse, I was so stressed and didn't know what to do. I did remember one thing though, that each time I studied something new from my course, it brought me inner sastisfaction, and it gave me that drive I wanted. So I requested that they should send me my study material in the Hospital, I got them and the study begun, it was such a source of relief for me, it gave me hope that I will be fine and fulfill my dreams, in time fortunately they managed to diagnose the problem, but the decision to carry my studies in the hospital paid off, for I was never behind as I thought I would be. This has been a great motivation for me, and I can't wait to finish my course.

At the begining I thought it was too difficult, actually it was difficult but after hard working nothing is impossible in this world. I did very well and I am satisfied with the work I did in the last month and hopefully(I am sure) I will do much better this month.

I feel I am getting good results and even managed a 100% mark on my last tma. Even though at times it has been hard to study due to working 10/12 hours starting as early as 2am and then looking after my 3year old daughter but I am determined to finish what I've started.

With the recent birth of our 2nd child on May 1st I have found studying difficult with few opportunities to get work done, however I have focused and persisted, and produced excellent results...and even helped my manager get to grips with the finer details of internet security!

With myself being of the older generation, it was with concerns that I started on the CompTIA A+ course. ( That's Network Engineer to us mere mortals ).
But I must say that it isn't as hard as I thought it would be. With careful study, I am attaining marks that would have my old school chums drooling at the mouth,my lowest mark is 80%, and my highest is 100%, my family, and friends are amazed ( so am I ) at the results I am getting. My coursework is done round my job, and my family commitments, but I am getting there.
Currently I am on TMA 7 which to me is the hardest so far. There will be others that are harder, but I am convinved that I will do it and attain the full exam and succeed. So don't be disheartened if you don't seem to be doing that well, your marks will come. Just put at least one hour a day to one side for study. My boss is eating his words now. Will not manage it? PHUEEEEE!! I have amazed myself.

At Last I have made it, next week I am taking my exams for the CompTIA A+ course and I cant believe how soon it is. My many thanks to Tutor Team A for their support and guidance throughout this course. I have already begun studying N+ course, and am hopeful to make the same progress I have achieved so far! I have been able to use my knowledge gained so far to fix problems with 4 of my friends PC's and knowing that I have helped them on their way again gives me a lot of satisfaction that the hours of study are worth it.

I am currently undertaking 2 of the biggest jobs I have ever handled as self employed, and they are coming together niceley. More to the point, I am undertaking a 13 week short course, (C&G 2381 at erdington campus, sutton college) 1 night a week at college, only 4 weeks to exam time!!Somehow I have still managed to get my TMAs submitted within 24 hours of receiving the previous topics`results. Just keep telling yourself you will be finished in no time, and before you know it the end is in sight.
