Managing to still continue with my course at a reasonable pace even though I am currently changing job to try and increase my health. I have not been well recently and even have to go to hospital tomorrow so managed to complet a TMA today and hope to be getting more study done during my stay in hospital. I am finding this course to be of great depth but also put to me so it is as easy as it can be to understand. Thank you
-Andrew
I do a lot of hours at work everyday, and I am getting on well with the course. It is diffcult to sit down and read after the days work, but I am ok. l do live alone and it is not easy but I am managing well.

Since ever I started training with skillstrain,I have radiated confidence and attended two interwiew and was successful to the extent that the interviewer said he is going to start recommending skillstrain when I answered the question ;what do you understand by the following HUB,ROUTER & SWITCHES.
HUB is a wiring concentration for a LAN & WAN that provide a central attachment point for the network cabling. ROUTER is a device that operate on the network layer of the OSI open system interconnection which is used to route information from LAN and WAN. SWITCHES intelligent which contains circuitry that very quickly, routes signal between ports on the hub.A communication paradiam in which a dedicated communication path is established between the sender and receiver along which all packets travel.

I've recently been diagnosed with Cancer (Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia) after a regular Eye Test which came as a big shock and very divastating. Im only 29 years old and I thought I had this massive life ahead of me but now its going to be a touch and go. I was meant to go for the second interveiw with a local I.T company but all that has gone out of the window. I've been going through a series of tests and awaiting to undergo chemotherapy which I hope I will respond well to.
I hope I will have less severe side effects to chemotherapy so that I can finish my CCNP and have a long normal life. If you have a chance to read this note, I advise you all to go for regular Blood Tests/Tests so that any irregularities would be diagnosed/picked up early. Sharing this with all of you makes me feel better and wish you all a healthy life. Many thanks to Skills Train for granting me more time to finish my course.

I have so far passed all the network assignments that I have taken and at work yesterday I managed to fix the shops telephones and got the shops chip and pin machine sending data again. It was tricky given the ancient software, at least it got the District Manager out of the shop so she would stop rebooting my till!

I consider it a great personal achievment that I have been able to juggle working a 3-shift rotation(mornings, afternoons and nights)as well as weekend work, somtimes doing a seven day week and still completing my course work to a high standard. Throw in a football mad 3 year old son and you know ive got my work cut out!

I have just started the N+ course and I have achieved good results in my first two TMA's. I feel this is a good achievement as I have had a busy year. I passed my A+ exams earlier in the year then I got married on September 8th. During this time I found it difficult to study as I was so busy but now I am studying hard again and this shows with my first two TMA scores for the N+ (which is not an easy course!).

Despite the recent death of a grandparent and the upset that comes with it, my family and close friends have encouraged me to carry on my studies towards my network+ certification, and I have produced a row of good tma results, and I am now revising for the exam.

After several false starts and a year of redundancy, learning a new job, family bereavement and a close family member being found to be in need of kidney transplant I have finally managed to get my course up and running.
I have attained good results in all of the TMA's submitted. I have just submitted my 5th TMA for October.
I have found a study regime that works well for me, with my new job. It means an early commute to miss the traffic and I have used the time available prior to starting work to study. I have found a policy of little and regular is one that works for me.

I was determined to change my career. I came to know about skillstrain through leaflet in the post. I have joined A+/N+/CCNA course. I manage to submit majority of the A+/N+ assignments in the first attempt. I passed my A+ exam in first attempt with good marks. Since last month I am running a part time small business from home, as an IT technician. I am receiving 2-3 computers per week for repair or upgrade, baring in mind that it is relatively new business, and I haven't promoted it as much yet. I am hoping to expand it in near future through advertising and make it as full time business.
The knowledge I have obtained wouldn't have been possible without the help and support of the tutors at skillstrain. I am looking forward for a bright future after completing my study.

Now I have the job in the council, I helps people on the pc. I also rectify the problem and solve the problem. I am also doing very well to set up the computer.
-Yusuf
Until taking this course I knew nothing about computers and now ive only been doing the course a few months I can troubleshoot my friends and familys comps and more often than not, help with the problem. Not only that but ive also got two 100%'s and one 93% which personally I think is a great achievement.
-Russell
I have been able to help more people with IT and PC problem even telephonicaly.
-Steven
I work hard (4 to 5 hours a day) to keep my TMA notes always between 90 and 100 percent. Actually I am going to connect 2 PC via a 802.11(wireless) for my LABs and exercices (my pingings and tracings) for a good understanding of the Open System Interconnection' Layers.
My work is actually based on virtual PC (a Windows 2003 server) where I work with my protocols (IP, TCP, and UDP).
I am only in the begining of my course(Network plus) but I think I do much than well and much than what my tutor team is expecting to have from me.
-Norbert
Finally I have moved ahead with my study and I submitted 2 TMAs in one week with score of 100%. I have full time job and apart from that a thousand things to do and it was very difficult to organize time for education purpose. I decided then I will study in every free time I have available (on tube, lunch break etc.) and I do so and hope to keep going. In the mid time I have fixed microphone problem for one of my mates. Basically WinXP couldn't see mic and my mate was unable to use it over the Skype. Quick look in the Device Manager and could see that Realtek Device Driver was broken.

I was a mechanic for several years until a sports injury put pay to that so had to change job roles. I then went into general office work for a number of years but nothing too technical. I am now a full time househusband as my wife is the breadwinner, I look after my two young boys (3yr old & 1 yr old) during the day, normally up at 6am so can be quite a tiring day with the energy that they have & as they can be a little demanding sometimes. I have martial arts classes in the evening 3 times a week so have to be very strict with my study timetable but make sure that I get at least 7-8 hours in a week. I started the first two sections of the A+ course 2-3 weeks ago & have achieved 100% & a 90% pass mark respectively, just submitted section 3 so fingers crossed. I consider what I've done so far with my passmarks a great achievement especially when up until recently all I knew about computers was to turn it on, work certain programs & the internet & turn it off again!!
-Andrew
As new student to skills train and a full time worker, I study twice a week and I devote my time to all the course material. I will therefore without an air of resistance let anything hinder my progress as I will make sure not to underscore any of my assignment below 50% mark.
