Wonderful Christmastime... Christmas is just like in Paul McCartney's song. I really think it is. With spirits up, choirs of children singing and people toasting. What a beautiful time it is! I wish preceding weeks were just as enjoyable and pleasant... Unfortunately they are not.
Uproar, fuss, hustle. And You and I in the middle of it trying not to forget what the Christmas is all about, forcing smiles on our tired faces. On the mission to please our intimates and friends with a bit of remembrance in form of gifts and cards. All the overtime taken and time my pregnant missus had spent alone will not go wasted. Oh God, please don't let me skip anyone and reward me with strength and love...
I was given the strength I asked for!! Right after a phone call from my manager, who passed information about me taking CCNA course to our head office. Apparently they want to offer me a job in the head office! As our company is growing really fast they will need more IT people in there to run and maintain internal network, connecting shops in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Cheltenham and London, distribution centre in Milton Keynes with the head office in Oxford Street in London. This will not only give me an opportunity to work on the Cisco based network and learn from very highly trained and experienced IT people, but will also let me assist them with planning and setting up new branches. This is really great chance for me and a step into mysterious IT world. It involves slight pay rise as well and, what is most important to me, I will not have to travel to Milton Keynes anymore. The time I spend sitting in a traffic I would spend with my partner and soon with my baby!
And there goes the love! This was a great news to me as well as to my beloved missus! Suddenly all felt all right again. There is a bright future ahead for both of us. It really makes us feel couple years younger.
Now I cannot wait till Christmas, despite all the hustle, so I could share the good news with friends and family. This is the best Christmas gift I could get! And I am sure that next year's Christmas preparations will be nothing but fun and joy for three of us. Therefore I would like to thank my partner, my baby-to-be and You Skills Train for keeping me on the right track.
!!!!MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Hi All, I have been a Skills Train student for more than 10 months.
I currently work for a large telecommunications company and must admit the information gained at Skills Train is very useful and helps me a lot. I can now help my colleagues and friends experiencing various PC problems. This really makes me feel excellent. Since I was a little boy, I always tried to learn more and more about the computers and new technologies. Now, when I have chance to do it, I really like it.
I think that the up to date information gained at Skills Train have definitely changed my live forever.
Thank you
p.s. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All.

Studying with Skillstrain is going to make my Christmas so much better this year, the main reason is because it has given me so much more to look forward to next year. I have had to look at changing my career due to injury. I had a car accident a couple of years ago, and so when I heard about Skillstrain, I decided to give it a go!
The real big reason behind my taking on this course is my girlfriend. She has been an inspiration to me since we met, and after I complete my course I will be able to get a well paid job and at least try to give her all the things she deserves for being not only an inspiration, but also the driving force behind my decision to take the course. Patty has done so many different things for so many people, that I thought it was about time someone did something for her. Unfortunately, at the moment Patty isn't very well, but with help of the doctor's we all hope she will recover very quickly.D When she does, I want to use my new found skills to enable us to be together, and to be able to live as happy a life as possible.
I have only been studying my course for about 10 weeks, so I have a ways to go yet, but after my initial jitters over the decision to start, I would whole heartedly recommend that anyone with the drive and ambition to get on in life, should without a doubt pick up the phone and call Skillstrain.
This course is going to change my life, completely turn it around, and I can only say a huge thank you to skillstrain for giving me this life changing opportunity.

I've worked in IT for years – I got my first job as a Heldesk Analyst way back in the heady, pre Y2K days of 1999.
I've slogged away as a desktop support tech for years, but am really looking forward to passing my CCNA at some point in 2009, so I can make the move from the dreary world of 2nd line support into the mysterious and exciting (hah!) realm of the Network Engineer.

Well what I can say, now when I'm with you guys, simply few words of what May came up in future for me.
I just hope it will be better one than it is right now coz myself I'm a bit suffering a long distance from my family and friends I still have back home in Poland.
Anyways thing is they miss me and I miss them, especially family of mine but I still have few friends over there with remember me after all this time. The worst thing is I don't think I will go back over there, coz life is better out here and now when I'm in front of great chance still struggling in absolutely new world still waiting to reveal, possibilities to came up in front of me.
well I'm just trying to take it easy and just go forward to one day be someone important, well I know it's just beginning but I just know this is only way to be ...

I always wanted to work in IT field, therefore after I finished University in Poland, where I studied IT, I decided to move to UK. My dream was to get a good IT job with possibilities to learn something new. I soon realised that knowledge I gathered during my studies doesn't meet minimum required to start any serious IT job. I searched and applied for many positions with no replies, so I had to take a job irrelevant to my interest. I realised then, that my dream will not come true unless I do something about it.. I decided to find a course which allows me develop my skills and move forward. It wasn't easy, as most of the courses available were too expensive and classes time was not convenient - I had to work. I didn't see myself as a full time student and an employee at the same time, but I kept looking and filled up some course applications. I got a phone call one day, from some college, they asked me questions about my current situation, interests and my plans for the future. We arranged a meeting where I was explained a flexible on-line studying and very suitable payment system. I was given an advice which course I should choose and what my career steps should be. I decided to join The Skills Train College. I started to study for the CompTia A+ certification. I really enjoyed studying, and after I passed my first certificate, I noticed that this course filled some gaps in my knowledge and here actually I was learning something what I could practice and use resolving every day issues. I started to apply for IT jobs again, and one day received a phone call from a company where I sent a job application form to. They invited me for an interview. The position I applied for was IT Support Assistant. I got this job! and I must say - I have realised that I'm finally on my way. Just a few months later I passed the second certificate - CompTia N+. Currently I am working as 2nd line support technician. Studying helps me to face new challenges at work, be more confident, creative and helpful. Every day I resolve issues using backgrounds from A+ and N+ courses. People value my opinion and I am becoming a technical expert as I have always wanted to be. I am on the third and the last level of my courses choice - CCNA, but I already know that I'm going to continue my journey with The Skills Train as I have found more interesting courses. Information technology is a field where we can always explore new technologies. This is one of the reasons which makes it so exiting. I have finally found the right place which shows me the way and gives sources to do it. The Skills Train College not only allows me to achieve recognised certificates therefore get better job, but most importantly makes my dreams come true. I have and I will recommend this College to all of my friends who want to start or continue their IT career. Thank you Skills Train.

Why my Christmas is better with the Skills Train.
I have been with Skill Train for almost 2 years now, When I started with skills train I was working in a super market working night shifts 10PM till 8AM to bring in my monthly wage. This was good fun and a good experience for anyone new to working however for me I was getting tired of it I was travelling to and from work on a bicycle at some of the most awkward times sometimes even nearly passing out on my way home due to tiredness and lack of energy. I knew this was not what I wanted for my life forever. So I joined the skills train to develop my skills further in what I could do best.
My Christmas before I started with the skills train was cold wet and very miserable with not much hope or goals to work up with anything. Since being with the skills train it's given me the since of achievement I have always needed.
Since that day I have applied for a network support role with a company local to where I live they asked me for my qualifications which in all fairness are not allot. I did go to college when I left school and passed a city & guilds in IT Technical Support. This did help however why current employer where very pleased to see that I was studying with the skills train and took interest in what I have been working on.
I have now been in a network support role for just over a year and love every minute of it, the satisfaction I get from solving issues and performing daily routine checks is amazing. I feel like my company are behind me one hundred percent and will do anything they can to help me further my career. Training with Skills train this Christmas will give me peace of mind that I have something to work up to and something to progress with to make my life easier. In all fairness it has already helped me by enabling me to show willingness to pick up and learn anything new regarding Support and a very large area of content within this criterion.
I feel that skills train is great for anyone that has a will to learn and do so at there own pace.
This year Christmas with the skills train is going to be brilliant as I know next year I will be getting closer and closer to finishing my course and progressing that one step further that I need to further my career in IT, I May even look at venturing into the RAF with these skills in my future and having qualifications from the skills train will be a big feather in my cap keeping my fingers crossed for my examination pass.
Merry Christmas to all skills train staff and thank you for your support and education.

Story of My Struggle & Success
I just celebrated my 46th birthday. In December 2006 I received an ad for skills train. At the first look I took it as a normal, not important add but then I kind of started thinking about it how it could bring benefit to my life ,as life hard that time since I had to work to earn enough money for 6 people in the house.
Then as you know I received an ad from skills, after filling it in I contacted them, they fixed am interview for me so they came to see me a couple days after. Mr. Jag was quite satisfied with the overall and I immediately started my ICT hardware course.
During this time of period I faced lots of difficulties, uncertainties but I was struggling not to let myself down on this because it was not easy to give enough time to family and with long working hours 6 days in a week and of course the studying which was not a really easy job either but at certain times my wife & children encouraged not to give up, always kept me on my feet. I felt stronger and decided to stay strong because it is for my benefit after all. I worked hard all night & day which really made a lot of progress and showed my hard working. My average was 99.9 % I was really pleased with my result. I'm really Thankful to everyone, who helped on every occasion when I needed help to achieve what I want.
My dream is about to become true, to get a good job to secure the future of my family.

Hi Skills Train .
To tell you all - that taking the CCNA Networking course with Skills Train has made me more financially well off , that I have been given a better job & that I have been promoted would constitute a misrepresentation of my current life & employment status .
However – to say that taking the CCNA Networking course with Skills Train has taken me to a level where I have new hope for the festive season & beyond - would be an accurate description of my sate of mind at this present time .
I am working 48 hours a week , in ( what I consider ) the most dangerous Engineering company I have ever been associated with . The working conditions & pressure to both myself & fellow workmates is quite unbelievable . It is a disaster waiting to happen – and believe me it Will .
I have a belief that I am a Very Good Engineer , and I would always manage to get a job in this industry – but due to the pressures in my present job , I find myself turning my back against a Trade that has supported me throughout my working life . This led me to the doors of Skills Train . I have enjoyed every minute of the course & I find a great interest in the Networking side of Computing . So much ( in fact ) that I have invested in a small Cisco networking lab in which I am mirroring the Live Labs .
I will continue to study over this Christmas period , but It won't get in the way of Family celebrations ------and it ( Skills Train ) will keep my aspirations alive – for the future .
Thanks .
Please have a very Merry & safe Christmas - to one and all .
Bye for now
-Robert
Learning with skills train has given me a new chance of a fantastic career. With the new skills I am learning, I am starting to put into practice around the house. I am also very optimistic about getting a better paid job which is also something I enjoy doing.

Studying with "SkillsTrain" has been as it says on the name SillsTrain. I got on the SkillsTrain back in 2006 and gained an A+ and N+ and on my way to make CCNA. Their Learning methods were so simple so everyone could jump on the Train. I hope I get in the new job in the New Year, when I finish my CCNA probably in Jan/Feb. Thanks to all at SkillsTrain and have a Nice Xmas and wonderful New Year 2009.
-Thayalan
I started with skills train early this year as a new way to progress my dreams in terms of career. I previously did a course in management which I did complete but got nowhere at all with my career. So I decided to take on a challenge and do something different like IT.
From the moment I took this onboard I stated to see improvements and changes within my job role. I have now been given more tasks to do and am offered a pay rise in this coming year.
I just overwhelmed with the defence that skillstrain is making for my career. If it's a pay rise now while I'm studying I wonder what I would get once I completed this course. I've been more grateful and delighted about this than I have ever been.

This Christmas I have finally some prospect of achieving what I have always wanted. With the hard work I have put in studying with skills train I have now got 2 IT qualifications and more to follow. I have more than one interview to attend for jobs!! That to me is a wonderful Christmas gift, for ages I worried about where I would go from the position I was in. Just to have the prospect of progress and employers interested in what I can offer is a terrific feeling. Skills Train has provided me with the opportunity to better my life, and I am grateful for that. Studying and working at the same time is hard but worth it. So this Christmas I can look forward to better times ahead. Thanks to the people at Skills Train for this chance, Merry Christmas.

I had no computer qualifications at all just over a year ago and was temping in various administration roles. I started the CompTIA A+ with Skills Train and after a couple of months managed to get a permanent job in a large computing company involved in company networks. The role started as only admin again but had the promise of moving into the technical side as long as I continued my study. After a while I completed the A+ and continued studying doing the CompTIA N+, and as promised my job has moved into the technical side with a good pay rise. I've had this job a couple of months now and am using in practice what I'm learning from the study. The promise at the moment from the company is for me to learn this role inside out, and the salary will increase every few months until next October when I should know the job completely and be earning £10,000 more than now. As for the study I will finish my N+ and have already agreed with Skills Train to do the CCNA and CCNP, so my career will be going up and up. This is all thanks to Skills Train.

Being with skills train this Xmas has made I think about my own job. Which the job that I aim in now is not going to get me any wear fast i.e. not up the ladder and when I do it will not be much more. As sales assistance supervisor only gets 40p hour more and trainee manger gets double my wage but has workloads more hours early and late nights and most weekend. I have also taken up a course in retail GNVQ and during the week I also only weekday first aider. Being with online train gave me the encouragement in need to go get this other two courses. So it thanks to online train that which basically help me plan out what I going to do in my own career. Also doing something I love working with computers and doing something with my own hands.

Thanks to SkillsTrain I am now able to enjoy my Christmas knowing that I will be able to provide for my family when I finish my course. I am still just young, but thanks to SkillsTrain I will be able to get a nice job during my A-levels and help me on my way into university. I will also get to learn so much about IT that without SkillsTrain I do not believe I would be able to.
-Giovanni
Well my story isn't as colourful as others but I'm satisfied with what I'm getting with skills train so far. This n+ is my first course with skills train and I'm still working on with it. By the end of Feb/March I'm looking to finish it. About skills train I haven't got more info but so far I believe it will sure do uplift me to goal I've planned. Well wish you all luck n success. Thanks to skills train. Merry Christmas & happy new year

Skillstrain has been a great inspiration to me since enrolment. No matter how biting are the global effects of the economic situation on me as an individual, the all-encompassing teaching skills of Skillstrain give me the encouragement and hope to keep up with my studies without any fear or anxiety of dropping out.
In summary, the assurance of the opportunities I have such as Skillstrain excellent teaching skills and aids, pleasant and winsome staff and the flexible periods of studies are always making me to look ahead with great joy for a better tomorrow. This state of excitement is heightened by the forth-coming Christmas and end of year in anticipation of the coming year which is my target to become an IT staff.
In other words, Skillstrain is making this Christmas an exhilarating and a memorable one for me as I believe I will celebrate the next one with a fulfilling career as a competent IT staff fully trained by Skillstrain - What an unrivalled privilege!

I Have studied for 2 and a half years with skills train and am preparing for my CCNA having passed my network exam a year ago.
My studies and closeness to completing my CCNA has meant that I have changed Jobs and careers and now work on an IT Help Desk for Christians Against Poverty. I've just completed my 2nd week.
Keep reading reading and reading. Take it all in and when you're ready apply for lots of jobs.
I now know it was all worth it!!!!
