I was having very busy time at work cause I work in Supermarket and Easter is coming out but I still tried to study. Other thing is that I know a lot of things written. I gained this knoledge by experence now I can see it from other site filled with more details. My goal is to take this exam in June and rock it. Not tooo much time but pressure is giving me extra motivation.

As a sufferer of "Depressive Psychosis" I find it very difficult to concentrate on learning. With thoughts of harming myself and others going through my head, I can get very distracted. It is, therefore, very impressive that I am maintaining an average of one work unit completed per week, with no scores below 90% so far. Most of my assignments have yielded 100% top marks, and my median average is also 100%, which I am very proud to have acheived.

I am studying MCSE, I found books and other materials realy useful and gives me a massive knowledge in IT industry, by completing the A+ section I am ready to book my test for A+ exam, and I am quite sure to pass it at first time as the materials and books Skills Train provide are excellent and fantastic.
A friend of mine bought a new PC and he was using that for couple of months, so one day he phoned me that his PC is running very slowly and it is always stacks in for more than an hour, so I been to his house I checked his PC, he didnt have an update antivirus programe, his computer was fully targeted by viruses.
So I reboot the PC in safe mode, and run an Norton Anti Virus programe and scan his hard disk found lots of viruses, so I delete all of them then reboot the PC and updated his aniti virus programe and it was working absolutly perfect, so he was realy happy and thanked me for my work and his partner told me, she was realy embarrced that their PC was working very slowly and one day her partner was nearly to broke the PC as it was not working as it was before.
So thanks for your help, that made us happy.
When I was returning back home so in my way I was realy happy and pride of my hard study and thanked Skills Train for their excellent course materials that they facilitate for us and we do appreciate it.

This month has been a difficult one as I have been under a lot of pressure at work trying to meet deadlines etc, also I have been having a lot of problems at home since my husband had his accident at work we have been under stress from his work at the moment. Therefore I feel that the results that I am managing to get on my course work have been etremly good with the fact that I am under so much pressure.

Getting a 94% for my first TMA, for me that is an achievement that surpassed my expectation. I therefore put this as a goal to always achieve or more so improve on.

I have resumed my studies in mid February after a few months break. At that time I was doing the old version of N+. My tutors informed me of new course, so with their consultation I opted the latest version of N+.
Studying under my present circumstances is very difficult for me. I have the responsibility of looking after a demanding 1 year old child. My husband is a doctor & has busy commitments in the hospital. Therefore I have to look after my baby, my house, do all the cooking & cleaning & the necessary shopping without any help. My child has difficulty in sleeping so I have to spend sleepless nights with her. Recently my child also remained unwell due to her vaccination. I have my family & friends in the UK who often visit me & I usually find myself entertaining them. In such a situation I managed to take time out of my busy schedule & study 2 hours a day. Despite the above mentioned difficulties I managed to score excellent results obtaining 100% in 6 assignments & 90% in 1 assignment. During the short period of 1 month I completed 8 units out of 10. This in itself is a big achievement.
I think under my circumstances my achievements have been extraordinary by giving the exceptionally excellent results.

Hi there, my name is Rahat Ali. I am a new student at skills train, studying the MSCA programe. When I first started the programe, I found that I was extremly unfamiliar with the type of eperience I had in my past career of studies. I chose the training programe so that I could enter a different type of working environment and improve my prospects for the future. I do believe that I did not have as much self esteem in myself when I first started. After going through my assignments and studying hard, my esteem grew and made me much confident on taking on the whole course. Today I am so glad that I did not break down to giving up on this course. After submitting only 2 TMA's I achieved an excellent result of 93% on both. I was extreremly pleased with the outcome which boosted me further in to the course. The more time I spent studying, the more I found that I finally found something which I enjoy doing, something which I was searching for years. I realise that my results May not be as good in my coming assignments, but I have full confidence that I can make it to the top! Thanks ever so much team.

Since I have started the A+ training in January 2007 I had no prior knowledge of hardware components or how to build a PC. However by fantastic support and advice from my tutors and the study materials I have been able to gain a better understanding. This has enabled me to fix my old PC back together by attaching additional memory cards and up-to-date components to the PC, in order for it to work faster and more efficiently. Therefore in the future I can apply my knowledge gained throughout this hardware course to real life situations and it will definately benefit my future IT career aspirations.

Knowledge is power. Some people say "Its not what you know but who you know" and this May be true in some cases but for a company/enterprise to get a greater return from the revenue it spends on its I.T infrastructure, then it needs trained, qualified personnel who have the knowledge to make the right choices and decisions that benefit the business. And if the business prospers then the individuals involved prosper.

During March I dislocated my shoulder on my right arm and am right handed. I have been unable to use my arm for three weeks and will probably not be right for at least another month. In that time I have been able to complete my second set of work and tutor assignment using my left hand and one finger typing (doing the same now) and gained excellent results on my last tutor marked assignment. I am now half way through the next stage of my study.

I HAVE MANAGED TO CONTINUE WITH MY STUDIES EVEN THOUGH I AM WORKING 12 HOUR NIGHTS SIX AND SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, TO COVER FOR LOSS OF INCOME WHILST MY WIFE IS ON MATERNITY LEAVE WITH OUR THIRD CHILD. WHEN I STARTED THE COURSE I NEW VERY LITTLE ABOUT COMPUTERS, BUT I HAVE MANAGED TO INSTALL A DVD RE-WRITER IN MY FATHER INLAWS PC AND I HAVE UPGRADED THE MEMORY ON A FRIENDS PC.

I have recently (start of March) changed my role at work (Personal Injury Lawyers) from mainly a PA/secretarial role to doing ALL of the invoicing (not the best time to start just at Financial Year End!!). I have also taken on ALL of the spreadsheet analysis work for the whole Firm, and, if there is anything involving spreadsheets at all, the senior Partner has requested I take that over too. In spite of all the extra work (on average, an extra 2 hours per day), I have maintained, if not improved, my work study programme and achieved excellent results in all my recent TMA submissions! I must be doing something right at last as I have just completed the TMA 10 for part A of the N+ course
I am hoping to get through the rest of the course successfully, before moving from Manchester towards Swindon to look for a more IT-orientated job that will allow me to have on-the-job training towards the MCSA part of my course.
To topit all, my older daughter has just achieved an Academic Scholarship to a boarding school in Wiltshire (she is aged 9 at the end of the month - my younger daughter turns 2 in the summer). She is going to require some sort of reward and I have indicated I will set a computer up for her, networked to mine, so she can use the internet too.

A friend of mine wanted to upgrade his PC to a duo core processor. He bought a new motherboard/processor package and a 1MB graphics card. Thanks to what I've learned from the first few sections of the course I was able to install his new motherboard/processor and correctly connect all the power/signal lines on both the motherboard and then the graphics card. I then helped him install windows Vista. His PC is working brilliantly (his words) and I'm pleased that only a few weeks into the course it's having an impact already.

Since last January I have been on long term sick leave, I was unable to commute to work due to an abdominal complaint, I have been through the complete barrage of tests, only to be told that the issue was related to a serious car accident I was involved in 2 years ago. I was finding it very hard to keep motivated, I had always wanted to get my MCSE and decided that whilst I was off sick I should put the time to good use. I am glad that I did as my results have been better than I imagined that they could be, I am now looking for a new position, whilst also planning my wedding to the most understanding woman you could meet, and her 3 children are giving me encouragement all the time. Thanks to Skillstrain and in particular Dave the course advisor who came and saw me.

I enrolled in SkillsTrain because I wanted to spend time with my family more when they get to the UK next year.
I was an HR professional for more than 10 years now - more than 3 in the UK and another 7 in my country, the Philippines. I enjoyed working in HR, don't get me wrong, but I've grown tired of having to work beyond my time in the office and then having to take home work to do over the weekend.
My wife and I are planning to bring our children in the country next year - I've been separated with my daughter for more than 2 years and I've hardly seen my son grow. When they get to join us in the UK, I just want to spend as much time with them as I can.
I will complete A+ and N+ so I can be part self-employed, repairing PC's and laptop's or setting up and maintaing networks for small companies. I will also complete MCSA so I can work part-time or work full time with some days working at home - I know that with current technology, System's Administration can easily be done remotely at home. It is still hard work but at least I will have several earning options which would allow me to be with my kids.
With help from SkillsTrain, all this will become a reality.

After 20 years in Reinsurance (Insurance) working for Lloyds' Brokers and Underwriters , I had had enough of slogging up to London every day. I had always had IT (computers) as a hobby starting with the VIC 20, BBC Micro and Amiga in the '80's and decided that if I could turn my hobby into a profession I might be happier. Last year I signed up with Skillstrain and passed my N+ in December. I have since got a job as a a Support And Systems Engineer with a very reputable firm in Crawley. I now drive to work through the countyside and enjoy what I do (regardless of my current salary). I am being encouraged to continue with my MCSA/MCSE and I have a renewed sense of purpose! Thank you.

As a student of skillstrain you don't really know what you made up of until you are confronted with challenges.
My first challenge was choosing a computer for my uncle and being responsible for maintaining and ensuring that the computer is in good condition, I almost refuse knowing am still a student not yet a certified pc specialist. The pc came with a security software installed in it, he wanted to replace the security software with another which I advice him not to do. Few days latter he told me about an error message that keep popping up, it has not made him enjoyed using the pc. After a brief questioning he finally told me he removed the anti virus software that came with the pc which I warned him not to remove. The bad thing about this error message is that even when you click ok it appears within the next few seconds, but with the knowledge I gained from my course materials I was able to solve the problem even when the manufactures support department could not do any thing about it. So far I have been able to solve two more problems due to human fault on the pc. Ever since then I suddenly developed this confidence of carrying out maintenance on his pc and my brother's laptop. As PC specialist confidence is a must have , if you don't have it then its not there but with skillstrain you are assured .

After a lengthy illness I am quickly getting back on track with my studies, after just 5 weeks back in the flow of studying I am already passing at the rate of more than one module a week.

Being able to help others with computer problems they were facing as well as achieving very good marks in my first three tutor marked assignments.
