Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE) Course Certification Reviews
Useful session to learn more about the workings and areas of Student World I hadn't explored thoroughly before.
-Sarah
I found the session very easy to follow under the tutor's guidance. It made clear a couple of areas that I was having a slight problem with, so a big thank you and im looking forward to booking my next session.
-Christopher
First time using LIT so I didn't know what to expect. But I was surprised at how easy it was to use and follow. It gave me a better understanding on MS DOS and the teacher explained everything very well. What impressed me the most was that the students were aloud to interact with the LIT session. Overall I was happy with what was on offer. Another satisfied student.

I find that doing my course work for an hour or two in the early evening, helps, even though some of the sections are long, break it down into stages. it helps.
-Brian
It was a real good experience I enjoyed it, time well spent.
-Shepherd
Just attended the session on learning styles, very informative and a good way to get used to the live training facility.
-Kevin
Well the sessions were great. I attended 2 different sessions:
1) getting the most from student world
2) learning styles
Sitting in my comfort zone and at the same time getting classroom teaching was great.

To be honest, I left school many years ago and decided to take these studies, it has not been an easy task but I had to do it and I cultivated the drive will and here I am today I HAVE DONE IT! Believe me anyone CAN DO IT, all you need is FOCUS, DETERMINATION and HARD WORK and these will take you through. I have just written the Comptia A+ Examinations and PASSED. Thanks to You All who make this Programme successful.
-Shepherd
I found the training enlightening, some of the ways I already knew and practised but wasnt sure if I was doing the right thing. In addition I learnt a few new tricks which will in the end enable me to have different ways of studying.
-Neverson
It was useful to hear everything in another words and would be nice to be able to ask a question during session.

I feel I have just reached a mile stone, and have successfully completed section 1a of MCSA. I'm very please that I have completed part 4 in two weeks, some of the parts have taken ages to complete! I now feel I have the motivation to succeed with rest of course.

Well I started in this company EDS last year when I came over to the UK. I started off as a contact center call taker, within the last 4months I have managed to get promoted to incident manager of a 2nd/3rd line support, we took over the 2nd/3rd line support, I was in charge of getting the team Trained and keeping them up to track with the latest software, I went from zero to promotion to promotion to promotion all within 4months.
I also obtained EDS employee of the year for 2006/2007. not only have I achieved all of the above. but I have also managed to wiggle my way into a role where I help with service delivery, definining new processes for the busness, and creating brand new training material in the ITIL manner for the busness, needless to say, all the while I have managed to keep my studies up and all the marks ( except one ) beyond the 80 mark :)

When I first started this course I was in a job that just involved in building pc's/servers. I wanted to expand my knowledge in computers and thats why I chose to do a MCSE course. Since doing this course I have gained a lot of knowledge and more confidence in the network and server side. With the knowledge I have learnt so far I have been able to change my job and I am now doing a helpdesk support role and when I have finished my course I will be moved to network technician.

After being fed up with my dead end job for the last few years I thought it was about time I stopped moaning about wanting a career and started to do something bout it!!so after looking at all the different companies out there I decided to take the BIG first step and go with skillstrain, so far I'm enjoying it and am impressed with myself as I never ever liked school but this is soooo much different and more educational, so here's to the first steps of my new career in it.

I am very happy to do this course. I found it a little bit difficult at the beginning; but I am ok now. It it not easy when you have a baby come to you all the time and disturbing you. But, every day I try to read my lessons. I am very please to do this course with Skills train.

I think I am working very hard despite being out from school for more than ten years. At the beginning it was very hard for me I couldn't concentrate, I didn't even understand what I was reading but I kept going and going.
I started getting my confidence and my senses back. It was very difficult if I consider that I have two kids and one of them just wants to be with me so I had to study when he was sleeping or out in toddlers, plus the job I am doing is a late shift, which dosen't help me at all, but I have set up a goal and I am going to achieve it, and this is reflected on my marks.

Since, from the begining I was working with much pressure with my personal situation and I am managing to go on with the course till to the end, and finally these are my last months with the last part of the course, which I consider a great achievement for what I have done so far the results I have got I just can't believe it but it is the truth.
What is making me stonger to work hard or even harder is when I look at my familly they are not in good health I am trying so hard to get the results not only results but the excellent one's. Last month and the current one my wife's pregnancy was the biggest challenge for me to stop the course work or to keep on as she has a lot of complications and she can't do nothing because of her sick pregnancy, I have to help with the cooking, and take the children to School one goes to college he's 11 years and the other ones of 9 and 6 goes to Primary School and the 2/1 he stays at home with me and totally I have 4 boys. Imagine that I have to do everything on my own, the 2/1 boy was very sick last month and I had to take him hospital, when I came back I read and did the assignments, I managed doing it and got good results. My wife is still in the same situation but I can handle things well now.
I have no tention of quitting, but on the contrary I am going forward with my Studies I have already an appointment for my Practical Session.

I AM MANAGING TO DO MY COURSE WITH THE ADDED PRESSURE OF HAVING 5 KIDS ,2 UNDER THE AGE OF 3, TO TEENAGE GIRLS :( AND A BOY STUCK IN THE MIDDLE AT THE AGE OF 9.MY WIFE SUFFERS FROM VERY BAD POST NATAL DEPRESSION, SO I LOOK AFTER THE BABYS A LOT OF THE TIME WHEN AM NOT WORKING AND WHEN I DO WORK I WORK 48 HOURS IN 4 DAYS.

I am a carer for my partner who has severe epilepsy, along with doing the housework and looking after our 2 boys ages 3 and 5. I often study late into the night and go over the TMA's and over again until I am sure I can get the result I am aiming for, this last month the whole family has been ill with the flu and when we managed to get over that I came down with tonsillitis. I am eventually aiming to get qualified for when my youngest starts school full time and I am able to return to work.

I have had a very difficult year after 12 months of uncertainty was cast upon all of the employees of the company I was working for last year, then I made the decision to leave. I also started this Comp TIA course subjecting myself to another monthly outlay. All of this was taking its toll on how I felt about the way a company treats its employees, I am glad I left the company (well known name).
After trying & failing to cancel this course because of financial commitments, I have decided to try to get my head down to study as much as possible, maybe this is one bridge I should not burn. I have found it encouraging to see my results are high and I feel disappointed that sometimes I am not achieving 100%, its a strange feeling even when I have lost sight of what I am aiming for.
But hey, I already have a job which is paying the bills and maybe I could get something out of this course, if I can , anyone can.
Last week I was helping someone to use a package who had been with his present company for years, I have only been there 2 months. To get through all of this in 12 months or so is a major achievement for me and I am still looking optimistic.
-Christopher
Before start this course, I did not know about computer. I did not have any idea how to type, how to install software. Now I know all the part names of the computer. I work full time, but I want to finish this course. I am really enjoying this course.

Having given up work to look after my 2 children (3 yrs old and 8 months old), I manage to get the children to nursery for 2 short days a week giving me a total of 6 hours per day for those days to study. After two weeks I have now submitted 4 TMA's and have another 2 waiting. I am getting through roughly 2 chapters per day, this should hopefully mean that I will have completed the A+ coursework in just 5 weeks and will be ready to take the exam.
