IT Training Courses Certification Reviews
I HAVE SCORED 100% MARKE IN MY LAST TWO ASSIGNMENT.
-Nasir
Since I was impressed with the IT System I started to know about it. I had no knowledge on IT at all then took a ECDL Course even when I was extremely busy on my job. I managed to level 2 cerificate at the end and which is helping me in my daily job. most of the work I do is in the computer.
Yes I have achieved basic knowledge on Software side of life but more you do more you want to know, I have very little knowledge on Computer Hardware in most case I get many problems to my own computer but I can do nothing, there for I wanted to do a course so that I can solve problem my self and even get a better job prospect when I retired. Luckily or eventually my friend impressed me about Skillstrain. It is my just a beginning of my IT career an am starting to see a lot out there that I can achive from this course.

Actually it has not being long I started this course but it has done a lot in my understanding of networking. when I first did networking courses during my undergraduate it was like a threat in my course, in that each time I remeber we will have network class I feel so sad because I hate when I engange in any thing I devoted my time and I will not see the effect of it in my knowlwege.
It seems I wasted all my preciouse time in the class because I gained just litle understanding. With N+ as a selective course to MSCA would have knocked off my urge to enroll with the course, but thanks to ur collegue that visited my house , she was able to explain everything and convince me with the course.
Hence, ever since I started the course am happy with it because there is a big difference in my knowledge of networking. In that I have confidence within me when discussing network with any one despite the fact that I have a baby who is always there to disturb when am reading but the course work material seems to be easy and clear to understand with the little tiome I put into the study.
Am glad to enroll with the course, I can't stop to be happy with myself of what a chnge in me.

I recently changed isp and couldn't login to this site. Now that I can, I found I got full marks for my TMA. I thought I had done terrible due to my TMA being a written assignment. I am really enjoying the course.

Well just undergoing the course was a step in the right direction for me, I have wanted to do this for a long time and never did, but now I have and am enjoying this so far. Already I have submitted three sets of TMA's the first three weeks of the month. Two of these I have received the answers back and have scored 100% on both and hopefully my third 100% is on its way, and currently I have just started the forth section of my course and will be ready to submit TMA 4 as soon as the third TMA answers are sent back to me. Even if I don't get voted for student of the month just to be on this course and receiving the positive answers back already make me a winner. Good luck to all others studying and entering the SOTM.

Over the past four weeks I have had the misfortune of having my wife in the I.C.U. of our local hospital, visiting daily two or three times a day, while at the same time keeping our home in order, washing and ironing, vacuuming and any other job that has required doing and also trying to keep on top of my course-work when I eventually arrived home in the mid-evening,completing three T.M.A's and receiving all but 5% from the total possible. I would like to think I was in contention for the top prize as I am trying to upgrade my existing computer so that I can get connected to broadband and spend more time on the course web site. I am pleased to inform you my wife has now been transferred to the H.D.U. and is making a slow and steady recovery.

I would like to enter for student of the month as I think that for a forty something year old to start studying again after 20 odd years is good going. Particularly as it is something completely new to him. I am proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks!!
After a great deal of soul searching I decided it was time to improve my abilities in order to try and start out in a new direction.
I have bitten off a great deal by enrolling on the CCNP course. Though not only am I doing CCNP, I am also doing A+, N+, and CCNA as a lead up to CCNP. I thought it would be good for me to have a well rounded and thorough knowledge of the area I hope to go into.
I had doubt as to my ability to start studying again but to be honest I have settled into the swing rather well. I have been achieving pleasing grades so far and I think reading over the set works twice and highlighting keywords has benefitted me greatly.
The aid received thus far has been brilliant, in particular the Lady from Nigeria has been really helpfull. Thanks for the support and I am really glad that I have started with your organisation!

Over the past few weeks I have successfully helped some people diagnose problems with there computers and offered advice on how to fix these problems, I have also fixed my mates pc just a couple of days ago, I took it apart and found that the P.S.U. had burnt out and today I am going round to fit the new one for him.

WHILE DOING THE A+ PART OF MY STUDY TIMETABLE, AND KEEPING DOWN A FULL TIME JOB, I HAVE ALSO PASSED MY LGV DRIVING TEST. I AM NOW CURRENTLY HALF WAY THROUGH MY N+ STUDY TIMETABLE.

Having just recently enroled on the course, I feel am am making very good progress to achieving my ultimate goal of working in IT. I have received two very good grades already and hope to achieve a lot more. Before I enroled in this course I didn't really know anything about computers. I study almost every night to achieve my qualifications as well as holding down a full time job.
I have noticed, since learning more on computers I am helping more & more people with thier own computers and problems, both personally and professionally.
-Richard
HAVE NOT STUDIED FOR 25+ YEARS, NOW HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE IN RETRAINING, HAVE FOUND THAT I CAN LEARN MORE . HAVE SHOOK THE COB WEBS AWAY. GREY MATTER IS NOW WORKING ONCE MORE, LIFE IS FUN AGAIN. I NOW FEEL ALIVE.
-Kevin
Studying the course material has helped me gain more knowledge in using a computer and I recognise that because before when I had computer problems, like why the computer was slowing down and things. I just used the course material to help me deal with the problem and now I don't need much help if I have problems with my computer. I.E. my computer crashed, slowing down ETC. I believe that studying the course material has helped alot and I am proud of my self for choosing this training college and career.

Passed my A+ OS and Core hardware exams.I was going to give it all up after the death of my mother but tried hard to get my mind back on track and finish the course.I am now pleased I did stay with it .I am now back to my usual routine and have started my Network course.
-David
In my last two examinations I have acheived 90% or over I'm confident I will acheive the same in my next exam. I'm really enjoying the course,I never new anything about computers before I started this course.I wish I had started it sooner, as I have many goals I wish to acheive from this course.I realise I am proberley not progressing as fast as other students this might be because I have a full time job as a printer and a two year old son.I also have another baby girl on the way, this makes studying hard as I don't get as much time as I would like to get through my course but I am trying my hardest because this is something I really want to do.
-Douglas
My achievements this month include improving my knowledge of IT beyond my expectation and also being able to introduce SKILLSTRAIN
-Thomas
From not having an understanding of what I was reading, I have started to get in to xhtml and css with glee, I spend as much time as I can studying now and enjoy it although I am limited as I am a single parent of my two children one of which has autism.
-Kevin
I feel that I have acheived a great deal this last month. First my health has been poor with a bronchitus followed by server asthma along with a trapped nerve in the lower region of my back. All of which put me in bed for some consiterable time. Then just as I was getting over this , my mother was rushed into hospital and was diagnosed with Parkinsons Desease. Now on top of getting better myself and looking after three teenagers a full time job and studying, I now have to wash and dress my mother before work. Through this I managed to receive 90% in my last assignment.
-Marina
As some of the tutors will know that when I started this course I had the miss fortune of loosing my joband if that was not a big enough kick in the teeth my mother had a stroke in November. I was at the point of giving up the course one because of financal restrictions but for the fact that I was and still am caring for my mother, she has made a good recovery so that is good but it is very hard to find the time to get down and study during the day many times having to do some of my studys after mother is in bed.
In this light I feel that I am doing very well in my course studys
-Derrick
Hi. My name is Alan Ryan and I strarted my CIW course with you last spring. Not long after starting my course I started having health problems which continued for the rest of 2006. As a result, I was unable to continue studying and feared I would never get my CIW certification. Now thankfully, I have been diagnosed and treated and I have begun my studying again thanks to the support I recieved from your staff. I cant tell you how happy I am just to be able to submit my TMA's again and start working towards my CIW certification with the help and support from Skillstrain. Thank you!
-Alan
This has been a month of real hardship, 3 deaths inside two weeks and changes at work - the pressure has been on.
It started when my fiancee's Gran became ill, and was rushed to hospital for surgery.Within 24 hours she never regained conciousness and passed away quietly. The funeral was set for last Wednesday and we of course attended, after the wake Louise and myself were hanging around town waiting to collect our two young children from nursery when we got a phone call.
My own Gran - a long time sufferer from alzheimers, was deteroirating fast, we rushed to the home to find my mother and uncles at her bedside. A frail shell of a person laid in the bed, unregognizable to me as my gran. We hung out a while with family but still had the children to collect. We departed, collected the kids and took them home so I could return to the rest home. Within seconds of arriving home we got the call - she'd gone.
The last on was the greatest shock of all, I work permanent nights at the moment in a supermarket - hence the career change - the only positive aspect of my current job is the people that we get to meet. My fiancee and I met through our jobs. Saturday night typically for me is sorting out a aisle devestated after frenzied Saturday afternoon shoppers, its hard physical graft and tough mentally to keep focused.
This Saturday was different in that my manager for the night recieved a paniced phone call mid-shift, Jim a character of immense proportions had just been found uncouncious covered in blood outside a friends house. Jim died two days later, he was 26. Eight years younger than myself.
Despite this terrible fortnight I have still manged to get through reading, labs and TMA's on the latest stage of my course. The things that have happened have given me an even greater push to not only complete my course but to finish it well and make the most of the time I have. Thanks to my course, I have focus and in turn have given my family focus on where we all want to be in a few years from now.
Joan, Isabella and Jim will all be missed.
Louise, Joshua and Madison we'll get there.
-James
