Obviously, this course has really assisted my knowledge about IT. I am now currently used to the PC, I can comfortably and independently work with a PC. This has added to my achivements in a very great way.

Having known nothing about computers I enrolled on this course to hopefully start my career off, as when I left school I had a baby at the age of 17. I've done work in the past but nothing that's intrested me as much as my computer course. I have just finished the first two chapters and gained marks of 95% and 100% which I was more than pleased with.

I got 100 per cent in my last TMA even though I had to take care of my mother and still am ,as she has just had a heart bypass.I have been studying longer than usual just to take my mind of what my mother has been through as she is in her 70s.

I know I am doing the most basic of the skillstrain courses but I feel that it has helped me catch up with the knowledge I have lost with not using computers on a daily basis. I have found the studying for the TMA's and concentrating on passing them has helped make with my resent split with my partner and having to move back home a little less traumatic. We have two top grade PC's and a laptop, all belonging to other family members in the home, so I feel that doing as many TMA's as I have with trying to share hardware and do a full time job(sometimes 12hr days) it is a great achievement and something I never thought I could do. It has helped me with work projects as well where I achieved a high standard of presentation, due to becoming more familiar with our PC programs. I loved computers and everything about them when I was at school. Even though I have only recently started it has become a focus point for me and I am back to being as inquisitive as I was before. I am hoping now that the course is progressing that I will continue to do well in the TMA's and hopefully at the end receive a qualification to help improve my working life.

Enrolling in the course of N+ and CCNA was one of the best things I have done for myself. I didn't even know about Cisco before and now I am glad I took this course.
I know now that there is a lot more to the IT field in Engineering than just the user friendly GUI / user friendly interfaces.

I thought that doing studies on your own time would be easy and just work around your own schedule but that is not always especially when it comes to things you have to memorise when you don't have the physical device in front of you to work on.

I made great results and feel really proud of myself with keeping up with my coursework trying to make it one of my main priorities. Recently I came to the UK on a student visa doing full-time studies at London-college MCSE and SQL plus now I have to Scheidegger courses and to make things more difficult I can only do part time work trying to pay my rent and food. There is not alot of time for studies since I am working in lots of different locations where I get work in the last 4 weeks I worked in London , Basingstoke and now in Scotland where I have to go back in 2 weeks to continue my courses in London.

I have to use public computers or go to friends houses to get Internet access to do my course work. Sometimes it can be a wait to get access to a PC cause of timing, library closed or friends away or asleep since it is late at night. Also there is not alot of sociable time to go out or catch a movie with friends.

Still with all the hard time I'm having I am still maintaining my intense pace of studies trying to get one chapter done a day and revision of four chapters every Friday. I never take a day off from studies and don't stop even when I am done submitting my assignments; I just keep going and going waiting for my results to submit my next TMA. My goals is high, to be one of the best and make sure I know my work.

Whilst working in hard and arduous conditions in Afghanistan, I have managed to successfully complete my CompTia N+ syllabus and begin the first part of my CCNA course. With poor living conditions, which include constant power failures resulting in limited internet connectivity I have perservered and achieved, what I believe to be good TMA results. In addition with the new skills I have learnt, I seem to be the point of contact amongst my fellow colleagues when internet connectivity becomes an issue, and I have managed to resolve many issues for them, as the internet is the only real link with friends and family back home in the UK.

Since I have started the course I have acheived results beyond what I thought I could. I restarted the course when I sent for the undated version which I find is more in depth and the troubleshouting section is a great help.my TMA scores have ranged from 87% - 100%.All this studying is undertaken while holding down a perminent nightshift job and visiting my children at weekends.since the studying I have been able to help friends family with a variety of pc problems with either hardware or sorfware which I am improving all the time.Hopefully when I have completed some more coursework I will apply for partime jobs to get more experience in this field of further employment

For the last few months I've been very busy working, inspite of this I still manage and find my time to study and passed all my TMA. I did this because of faith, hardwork, discipline and determination.

Comitting to the new 2006+ course after a flimsy start to the original A+ course 6 months ago. Genuine 100% record so far (not cheating) and keeping up to date every day in between working 40 hours a week.

As a foreiner I have achieved a lot from starting new words which helps me to express myself, finishing a knowledge about the computers. Before I started studying I was a little scared, about the language diference, because english is not my origin language but now I am more and more confident in myself and really looking forward to learning. I tell my friends that to start learning is not a nightmare its an oportunity and we can do this.

I have managed to achieve 100% percent on 2 of my assignments and 97% on the last one that I submitted. I have also been ready to submit my next assignment as soon as the results from the last one arrives through the post. I have acheived all of this even though I was ill for a week with migraines.

I also have a friend coming over this week with some new parts for my computer to upgrade the memory and graphics card and I will be installing them myself under his guidance.

Although I started this course 12 months ago I have had to cope with my partner being diagnosed with cancer and bringing up 3 children and keeping my current job on the go. I have just started the course again now and was very pleased with my result for TMA1 on the new 2006 course. I didn't think I could do as well as I did and hope to achieve similar reults for future TMA's.

When I started my course 2 weeks ago I was out of work and could spend most of my day studying. Now I am in full time employment (which is to help me fund my course and exams) and having 2 young children to look after I have had to cut down on my study hours but have still gained 100% in my first TMA which I am very proud of!

I have been gaining success and continuosly scorring well over the pass rate in all mt TMA's. I beleive I am gaining knowledge rapidly about a computer and how it works which is helping me with alot of things, because before I didnt even know things like input devices are known as pheriphals in IT terms. befoe I didnt know what kind of computer I have know I know as I have learnt from all the course material provided.

I have just completed my CompTIA (A+) PC Hardware and Maintenance, Core Hardware, Section 1, Part A. I have done well with my course considering the fact that I am doing two courses at a go. I have now submitted my first assignment for the part b of my course. The most important thing is that I am progressing very well with my course and I have learnt a lot ot aspects about PC'S. I am now able to repair and upgrade computers for my friends and relatives.

Having restarted my PC Maintenance and Repair course (Comptia A+) I have already completed three assignments in as many weeks. The updated training material is excellent, and it's relevance to my everyday contact with IT systems is already helping my confidence. The ease of completing and submitting assignments has also helped me to start with great enthusiasm.
