IT Training Courses Certification Reviews
Since I started the course I knew nothing about the mechanics of a computer but in the past couple of weeks I started to encounter problems with my cpu and I have now solved and rectified the problem.

After a long break from studying I decided it was time for a change. So when I found student world I thought id give it a try . getting back into studying wasnt easy at first but I found that by picking up my folder for an hour a day that the course started to get easier. by increasing this by another 15 minutes a day I managed to complete my first part in a month of receiving the course material. this means that I am now only waiting for access codes for the next tma thank you very much to skillstrain for giving me this oppotunity and let me tell all the other students out there I work 12 to 17 hours a day as a taxi driver at the moment and am looking forward to a new career at the age of 46 keep going you can do this.....

I have achieved 100 per cent in two of the three Tutor Marked Assignments I have submitted in April, in the N+ Part A part of the course, with the other Assignment still waiting to be marked.
In addition to this, I am also very close to being ready to take the Comptia A+ exam 220-302 (Operating Systems Technologies) having previously passed the Comptia A+ Core Hardware 220-301 exam.
This has been achieved despite a hectic year of hospital operations on my left leg and hip, together with holding down a full-time job, and also helping to settle in a very dificult to handle Foster child who has now improved immensely both academically and in her personal behaviour since being placed in the care of my wife and I.

I have completed all the assignments of the very well organised series of courses.
It was not my intention at the outset to seek employment in IT industries, but just to gain an insight into the complexities of computer studies, a self imposed learning skill, an ambition which I beleve was acheived with the very patient tutorial assistance given.
It is a course I would recommend to anyone wishing to gain the skills and knowledge provided by the course to gain entry into the world of computers.

I am working an hour and a half's commute away from my flat and still manage to complete an assignment a week.
Despite not having studied in this style for nearly 9 years, I have found this reallistic goal is helping me maintain progress.

Well I am your typical 18 year old stuck in a supermarket well not for long because I have joined skills train the best choice I have made in my life, I havent yet finished my course but it is so relaxing its like a second job but you dont get paid I have learnt so much already I think it is great I never knew there was so much to learn about but there is everything is in simple text so the words arent like 10 letters long and you cant even say them its all simple, the tutors are there for you wen you need them the most they always have the answers if you find it really hard, speaking to them wont make you wanna give up, I know have a reason to get up in my life for my web design I cant wait to finish it

A friend of mine wanted to upgrade his PC to a duo core processor. He bought a new motherboard/processor package and a 1MB graphics card. Thanks to what I've learned from the first few sections of the course I was able to install his new motherboard/processor and correctly connect all the power/signal lines on both the motherboard and then the graphics card. I then helped him install windows Vista. His PC is working brilliantly (his words) and I'm pleased that only a few weeks into the course it's having an impact already.

I am not new in IT, but I had another problem - language difficulties. My first language is russian, and it was hard for me when I started my course, because I had to refer to dictionary very often. For now I`ve submited only two assignments, but I`m will not give up, and I think my studies will go faster in future. I will get double benefit when I complete this course: I will be able to start new career and I will improve my English significantly.

I had just received a pass mark of 100% in TMA. I am proud as punch that I am finding the time to study my course between working during the day and also learning to bring up my baby daughter who will be 11 weeks on Friday coming, she is the driving force for me to push myself to achieve great results.

I have started my course with SkillsTrain just over a 6 months now, only 6 units left! Although I have had previous computer knowledge from completing my GCSE and A-Level ICT exams, I must admit though that studying the N+ has given me exceptional knowledge about computer hardware/software and computer network which is what I enjoy doing, hence why I decided to embark on this course. The main reason for me to achieve my goal ( completing the course and gaining a successful career), is so that life can be made easier for me and for my mum who works hard for me and my sister to see us do well. If you could ask any one in my family/friends they will both tell you that iv got a fixed mind on what I want, and thats to be successful in life and not just 'make do' but be a somebody that makes a difference. Im not exactly aged with experiance, being 19 years of age you would think I would be doing something totally different to earn a living, but iv always known from early secondary school that IT was the way forward for me.
At the moment for a regulary income to the house, I work night shifts at the local supermarket, its not glamorous but it brings in the cash although balancing work and the course can some days be difficult, I seem to carry on and pull through knowing what will be ahead when I finish. I just cant wait to finish and carry on my dream, though I have to slow my self down sometimes and concentrate on the coursework first, for some reason I can really feel the knowledge gathering together in my head, I was sceptic at first but now it is clear that it is achievable if you stick to studying. I would recommend skills train to any one looking for a change in career or even just a hobbie or what ever, I think its brilliant. Iv already got some friends to sign up!

I have been studying for about 3months now and although I can only commit to once or twice a week due to work commitments. I have still learned so much more in that time than I did in 2 years at Uni .

I am working full employment with T-Mobile(UK) Greenock as a Business Advisor and been doing this job for 6 years now and am doing good achievement in the fqac of adversity. I do work under pressure but I still manage to continue with the course work and I have been working 1 step ahead in completeing the course and I use the Student website mor often now but I am still enjoying this. I am hoping to move up in employment and I have put my application in for TDMS (Technical Data and Multimedia Support) within my work place and have submitted my CV to also include this course that I am doing which looks good for viewing and I will do my best in getting that job and I will keep up on this course that I am doing.

After being forced to take time out to sort out personal problems I have managed to catch up on my work load and get back on track in preperation for my A+ exam.

I had to leave my home and family and move back to England with my 2 year old son where we had to start from scratch. I had no formal qualifications in IT but with self taught experience I enrolled with skillstrain and started to turn things around, I am now powering my way though my A+ juggling life as a single parent and hoping to start work in an IT field within the next few months. Thank you skillstrain!
-Peter

I HAVE I FEEL ACHIEVED SIGNIFICANTLY STRONG RESULTS WITH MY 8 TMA'S SUBMITTED SO FAR. I'AM STUDYING HARD WHILST WORKING LONG HOURS IN MY FULL TIME JOB AND ALSO SUPPORTING MY SICK WIFE AND MY 4 YEAR OLD SON. MY WIFE IS CURRENTLY AWAITING A DIAGNOSIS FOR A POTENTIALY SERIOUS ILLNESS AND HAS BEEN TOLD SHE WILL BE ON MEDICATION FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE.
STUDYING IS HARD TO FIT AROUND EVERYTHING. BUT I FEEL ITS IMPORTANT TO FIT IN AS I WANT TO PROVIDE A BETTER LIFE FOR MY FAMILY. THE ONLY WAY I CAN DO THIS IS TO COMMIT AS MUCH TIME AS I CAN TO GET AHEAD IN LIFE.

Back in January I could just about switch on my son's laptop computer. When I decided to take on this course a lot of people seemed surprised as I had never really shown much interest in computers let alone try to work out why one wasn't working. Now just a few months on I have fixed 3 computers, upgraded my old computer and added new software to several friends computers.
I feel so proud of myself I can not explain how happy and confident I felt when I managed to work out what was wrong with the computers with no help from anyone!.
I would not have had a clue if it wasn't for skills train. This course has given me confidence in myself and now I can't wait to complete my course and hopefully set up my own business in computer repair. Although my family and friends were not sure when I first mentioned doing this course they are all behind me, not only because of what I have achieved but also because I have saved them a small fortune!

I have submitted 3 assignments in the month of April. I have passed all 3 with 2 results being 100%. I am really pleased with this result especially as I have had difficulty over the last wee while finding study time with working full time and looking after my two children. Even if this does not win I am just pleased within myself for getting these types of results.

I started my web site design manager's course with no previous knowledge of computers and never used one. I can happily say I can now talk 'IT' with my friends without feeling on the outside of conversations. I have finally got to grips with the initial html/xhtml language which I was very nervous about. My girlfriend is now pregnant and if my course continues to progress well, we May all have a better future.
Thanks skillstrain!

Since last January I have been on long term sick leave, I was unable to commute to work due to an abdominal complaint, I have been through the complete barrage of tests, only to be told that the issue was related to a serious car accident I was involved in 2 years ago. I was finding it very hard to keep motivated, I had always wanted to get my MCSE and decided that whilst I was off sick I should put the time to good use. I am glad that I did as my results have been better than I imagined that they could be, I am now looking for a new position, whilst also planning my wedding to the most understanding woman you could meet, and her 3 children are giving me encouragement all the time. Thanks to Skillstrain and in particular Dave the course advisor who came and saw me.

Well where do I start, hmmm, I got my Network + Part A in June of last year and didn't start the course work right away, this was because my brother in law was seriously ill, unfortunately he passed away in August. I did, however, manage to send TMA01 away and passed it with 78%, then the course was updated and decided to restart the course on the new material. February this year I sent away the new TMA01 and got 100%, this allowed me to push on, and I completed TMA10A two weeks ago with an overall 97% pass and eagerly await Part B. Unfortunately I have had another bereavement in my family with the loss of my young cousin aged 19, this has spurred me on though as life is too short and I know that completing this course will allow me to move my career on, thank you SkillsTrain for giving me this opportunity. I hope this little text allows others to see that even under adverse family conditions that it is still possible to study and actually complete the work in a relatively short period of time. I hope to be able to move onto a Microsoft certification course when I complete Network +.
-Hugh
Along with keeping up with the course and managing to get 100 % on my last assignment. On 3/5/07 my wife gave birth to our 3rd child.
