IT Training Courses Certification Reviews
After a few turbulent months at Home and at Work that affected my ability to continue the course, mainly due to me feeling unwell most of the time, but the doctors were unable to narrow down the reasons. I decided to focus on my goal, to work from home but in rural location, and get back on track with my course! Here's to country living, bring it on!

Training, and keeping good scores whilst under heavy pressure at work after being TUPE transferred to a new company and having to cope without my booking system and accounts help. Also after 2 months taking on a colleagues workload as she went on maternity leave.

I've just sold my house, my girlfriend has sold hers and we haven't found anywhere to live yet after being let down on the house of our dreams.
We both study hard for our relevent quals, and the only time we have is late into the night. So I surprisingly surpassed myself having achieved 100% on 5 out of my 1st 8 TMA's, mostly revised during candelight hours. I'm sure the long nights and droopy eyes in the morning will all be worth it in the end. After all it was my choice to take this on........for better or worse! :)

My achievements always starts with me doing my TMA and submitting it . Near enough most of the time I'm requested to resubmit. Nine times out of ten I get a substancialy higher mark usually around 75-95%. So for myself I'm always achieving.
-Simon
So far so good I have managed to still get very high marks despite the little time I have because of my job and family life.

I have just started my course a couple of weeks ago and have now completed the first 3 assesments. I passed the First one at 100% the second at 90% and I hope the same kind of mark for the third. I had some difficulty with the third assesment so I read the chapter again and made some stickie notes. Was almost like baing back at school again after 10 years.

Getting through the first lesson of Section 1C of the course has been a big challenge, but I have done it. Normally I try to complete a lesson a week, but a number of personal issues have got in the way since I started this section. In the last few weeks, I have been in hospital for some minor surgery and need time out to recover, my husband was made redundant and needed lots of my support when his company transferred its software development and maintenance work to China, and then last week one of my cats was diagnosed with a heart condition and needed some treatment, time and attention. Alongside all this I have continued to take full-time care of my 2 children, aged 1 and 3. Despite the challenges, I set myself the goal of sitting down for 2 nights a week, as usual, and doing what I could, even if it was only half an hour or so. It meant taking longer than usual to complete the section, but I have now completed it and feel a real sense of achievement.

At 55 years of age, I think I have achieved a great deal of progress on the CIW course, and although it has taken a bit longer for me reach my current stage, I am now coming to the last section and am nearer to my goal of starting a new career. Thank you.

As a new student I am feeling very pleased with the results of my first two TMA's I have the found the course very user friendly. I am amazed at the amount of information I have learned and understood in such a short space of time. Currently I am working 4 hours a day and not getting bored or fed up at all. I obviously find some of the jargon a little confusing at times but eventually it all sinks in, also it helps and gives me a boost when I read the feedback that is received on the progress report I am hoping that I will be able to complete the course without any major problems.

I have started my course this month which is a huge achievement for me having been stagnant and unsure of my future direction for some time. I have completed the first two TMAs and got 100% and 97% respectively and have just submitted my third TMA. This is a massive achievement for me as I am so busy working and have also played several gigs with my band in the evenings and been rehearsing twice a week for an opera performance. I'm not actually sure how I've managed to fit studying in to all this but my personal determination has found a way and I have been rewarded with good results which have motivated me even further to suceed with my course.

Before I started this course I knew nothing about how the PC operates. I have learned to identify each component on the motherboard and how it operates. I have studied very hard especially doing a degree course alongside with this course but hopefuly I will receive my degree this year. This is an huge achievement and also I have taught my brother how computers operate as he never knew the software and the hardware side how it interacts. He was very pleased with me that I taught him and he knows quite a lot about computers.

I have completed A+ and N+ and will be finish it on time. Working and studying is very hard but I can do it. Thanks to skills train, they are doing a fantastic job.

Hi, how you doing, hope your well!
I think my best achievement was in 2001, when I went to Romainia with my father, who has now passed away August, last year who worked for London Probation; and the Metropolitan Police, to help the Romainian Orphans.
My task was this, as two of the officers (X-Flying Sqaud) could not attend I had to head up the eletrical project, which to say the least was a shock because in Romainia in the small mining town of Lo Pen, 200 miles from the Capital its not 240 VAC it's 3 phase, so I had to step it down from 415-420 VAC to 240.
So as you can see I already had problems which I had to solve as this fact was not know!
Anyway I did solve this and continued on to install three 240 V ring mains, one at 30A with 9 double socket's a second also at 30A with two turets with double sockets and one lighting ring main with 6 fluresent tubes at 6 FT and one switch; and set up 6 computers which were donated by Probation in just 12 Days on a 14 day trip, I done it in 10 with one other aid who was some help?
Also recieved a Merit award from Sir John Stephons of the Met, well chuffed!!!!
My latest achievement will be completing the A+, N+, and the CCNA here at Skillstrain!

From the time of me starting this course, I didn't know much as I do now. Take this course at a very high price and its pays off knowing that I'v learnt a lot, But iv still got a long way to go.
I'm not doing this to win any thing just to let you know on how much I need to lern about computers. If it wasnt for my brother on doing web designing I wouldn't have learnt about SkillsTrain..
