I have always be one who enjoyed building ang installing software for my own pc's. I recently took the bull by the horns and entered myself for the A+, N+, CCNA course and have enjoyed every minute since I started. I am a Joiner by trade and decided that I want a career in IT and am working hard toward that goal. This month so far I have submitted TMA 1-4 and have acheived 100% for TMA1, 73% TMA2, 90% TMA3 and 100% TMA4. I plan to continue to acheive high marks in all tests and have my qualifications within 18 months.

I managed to get rid of a virus on a friends computer. It could not be deleted using anti virus software, so I had to get rid of it in safe mode by changing the name of the file so it could be deleted. I then repaired the mbr, and computer is now working fine, I also defragged it and installed firewalls and spyware software as a preventitive.

I recently finished a degree at university and wasn't sure where I wanted to go, a common problem for students. I ended unemployed for a while and really started to feel down. I decided to take up a certification course in IT after seeing SkillsTrain advertised. I decided to take the A+ and N+ and go on to take the CCNA.
After completing the A+ I received a chance to work on an IT help desk. This really has helped me chose a career path and given me something to aim for. I have almost completed the N+ now and since starting my IT career I have been given the opportunity to progress to second line support.

Thank you for all your continued help.

Was it a small achievement generally, I am proud to say that my accomplishment so far is not a small one. I have completed my A+ and N+ programmes. I am currently waiting for my password and username to reach me so that I could start off my CCNA. While studying with skill train college, I managed to get a certificate in mathematics with the Open University at the same time. I am proud to say that I will be rounding off my degree in ICT with the Open university by October this year. My programme with skill train really helped and is still helping me a great deal with my Open University programme. The skill train programme gave me a lifeline and a much desired hope. I am proud to say that I got a skilled work due to the experience I have gained so far from my skill train courses. My company have decided to enrol me on a work-based ICT course(NVQ level 2) because I passed the preliminary qualification test for the course. Maybe, all these achievements wouldn't have been possible if I didn't start my programme with skill train college. I am thinking of enrolling for further studies with skill train once I complete my CCNP programme. The flexibility of study and feedbacks from tutors has helped me a lot and I don't think I want to stop studying with the college yet.

Recently I was diagnosed with Crohns disease I have had to adopt a new life style in every aspect of my life be it social, work and home. Dealing with the condition and being in and out of hospital often, made me put this course on the back burner but has made me believe that you have to deal with what life throws at you but also take the opportunities that are presented to you and make the most of them. I don't revel in sympathy, and as far as I'm concerned there are folks a lot worse off than me. You get out of life what you put in, so this course has given me a very real opportunity to prove that statement!!

I have very recently passed my Comptia A Plus 2003 exams (220-301 & 220-302) and am still continuing with my course to aspire to next achieving Network Plus qualifications. This has come to fruition after a fairly tough few years for me, with having to endure several surgical operations on my arms, legs and hips following diagnosis of a rare bone cancer condition.
I have also taken on the role, together with my wife, of foster parents to a difficult young child whose previous placement had broken down.
All this has been achieved with determination whilst holding down a full time administration job and helping my two other children to gain sucess in their GCSE's, and more recently, their BTec National Diploma college courses.
I am confident that if I can glean some success on this long and winding road to a successful career path then with a bit of determination you can too.

This course has changed my perception towards life. I was into business earlier and very unfortunately had met with serious losses and had to quit the business. I had tried all possible options to find work but was unable to get any work with future or career prospective. I then started looking for an option that could give me a career which has growth prospects and I was willing to learn from scratch. In my quest for such an option, I came across the skills train training programme and made an enquiry. After a detailed discussion with the career advisor, I felt that this is the right option and this is the only way I could get my life back on track. But I was a bit indifferent and skeptical as to whether I will be able to undergo a studying phase at this stage of my life. But I was determined to do this and made an effort to study even though I had a bit of delay with the initial start up. I have been an end user of computer for a very long time but didn't know anything about how it works. On commencing the course, there were initial difficulties with concentration on the course work but eventually, with my determination and hard work, I improved and things got much easier. Now I find the course very interesting which is well reflected by the submission of my TMA's and the pace I'm to doing them. I think this achievement of mine have paved way in gaining my self confidence back, which has made things easy for me and plays a major role in motivating me to complete the course as soon as possible and to succeed in life. My level of concentration has also improved and I have proved that in active submission of my TMA's.

It was just another day and with plans to make any achievement looking really slim because the rain was not only heavy but accompained with little wind enough to drag a man off his feet.as I made my way to class, I saw a classmate of mine who made a complained two days ago that is Laptop couldn't connect to the internet going towards the staff office.I got into the class and we were all waiting for the lecturer to come in all eyes turn to the door thinking it was the lecturer, but there goes charles again complaining he's connection couldn't be sorted out. I told him to bring it but he had this look on his face "a lecturer couldnt solve it how come you" so I went to him and ask him to log in its user name and password again which he did but the same thing happened, one thing I noticed was the that the WLAN switch at the bottom of he's laptop was turned off so I turned it on and amazingly BLA! its connected, so now every body is looking forward to me when its comes their computer.Good to be an hero sometimes.

I am doing the A+ and N+ course with Skillstrain, in the beginning when I started the course I did not have any kind of qualification to do with IT, I just knew the basics which I was taught in school.I always wanted to join the IT industry so I started searching and I always saw adverts on TV, internet and newspapers etc. after going through all the colleges and offers I decided to go with Skillstrain. I rang up Skillstrain and booked an interview, I still wasn't sure how it worked but I had my mind set on doing MCSE. when my interview had come I introduced myself and the way I live and the fact that I am the oldest in my house and that our father doesn't live with us and most responsibilities are on my shoulder. I spoke to the lady who was conducting my interview and said to her that I wanted to do MCSE so she asked me many questions regarding the terms that and qualified Mcse would use, some of them I didn't understand so I gave it a thought. In the mean while I did the aptitude test and I did very well. So the lady advised me to do A+ and N+ and I just got started within the next week.
The course is amazing step by step training I find it very helpful. I persuade my friends to join Skillstrain
Thanks to all Skills Train staffs to provide such a great materials to our people who can gain a good knowledge of IT within a very short period of time.

Unlike previous months I have found this one very tasking simply based on my new arrival, a baby girl called shania on the 29 March - through the sleepless nights she has taught me a different and new way to understand, learn, and walk about with a manual - IT info the best of times is challenging when your mind is away but managing children takes it to new dimensions..

I was a serving soldier for 24.5 years up until Mar 2004 when I was medically discharged with (PTSD) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Major Depression Re occurring, a common psychiatric injury of war.
The symptoms I had were insomnia, aggressiveness, depression, dissociation, emotional detachment, nightmares and potential memory loss, with all that suicidal attempts.
February this year I decided to do something with my life I discovered skills-train and arranged a meeting with one of their representative. I was convinced that this company can give a boost to my knowledge of the PC and will help me to get into a well paid job.
I have joined the course of PC Hardware and Maintenance (A+) and (N+) and since I started my course, Mar 2007, it has given me a lot of self confidence.
I have managed to help out a few friends with various problems on their computers, so that has spurred me on even further.
All in all I am really pleased with myself and it just proves that if you want to learn something anything is possible.
I intend completing both A+ and N+ and looking forward to taking the A+ professional exam Later on in this year. Keep it up Skills-Train you have gave me my life back.
