I've finally convinced my friend to consider skillstrain and the last time we spoke he couldn't wait to get a visit. This followed a sort of an argument as he was about to start attending a cisco course from a day college and one that would take him a year or more and most importantly costing fortune.
I had a point even in the outset of this tussle as he invited me to this college during one of his MCSE session. It wasn't a bad college at all, but in the end my assistance helped them understood subnetting and routing (and some related topics) and indeed provided them by far easier methods of the processing. I took that brief cheers of course but I was quickly on spot and I'm right on time again giving all credits to these wonderful tutors we've got and I'll like to commend your handsome efforts (thank you ). Having said that, I hope everyone is feeling the underlying skillstrain technology as much as I do. Everything is just awesome!
Finally, I'll go into June having finished another milestone and awaiting exams. thank you all.

I am writing this on behalf of my husband Robert as he won't do it.
He has had a lot happen the last couple of years and has faced an uphill struggle due to a nervous breakdown from military service. His cofidence was on the floor and he spend time in isolation while he dealt with his condition. He tries so hard and although faced with adversity on he has rarely complained. Signing up for this course has taken alot of courage and his desire to acheive is growing. Its like I am getting to know the real person again. Thank you Skillstrain for beginning to show him he is worth something and that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

I have started up my own IT business, fixing and repairing pcs from hardware and software problems. While doing this I have managed to create a income to keep my head above water, while freeing up more time to study more of my valued CompTIA course. Doing this has put what I have learned into practice and helped me to relate to what the course is teaching me. In my spare time I have taught many people things about PCs including my parents how to us their PC which I have personally made for them, enabling them to communicate with me through E-mail and messenger services. It also helps them feeding their Ebay addiction.I have also taught my self web design.I am getting into the IT industry in many fields, but mainly concentrating on PC repairs and maintaining PCs. I am enjoying every bit of it and have found a sector of the working industry that I feel confident with while having a hobby at the same time. I am now on my third update to this course and plan to take no further updates as I now wish to complete and pass my exams in this course. The advantage however is that I would have studied this course three times.
Thank you.

What can I say I have not achieved what everyone else has achieved, but it is an achievement in its self starting the course and completing my first assignment, I am ready to do my second assignment on Wednesday and shall try my best to complete atleast 1 assignment a week from now on as I am now getting to grips with the knowledge and information there is to absorb.

Following the difficulties of family bereavement, illness and a change of job, I had fallen well behind in my studies. I have experienced many difficulties especially having to backtrack over work that I had done previously because of having been out of studies for some time. Whilst I am still having difficulties, I am managing to work through my course and am still attempting to fit in with the extra work and personal committments. Motivation was at an all time low after Christmas but I have been able to pull myself through and am now managing regular studies again.

When I first applied for the course I did not quite understand how much time was involved, in the process of completing this course I also work a full time job and have a little girl and a partner to find time for. I already new a bit about computers but did not realise how much information you can forget over years. The best achievement I have made so far is completing the sections on my own, having had learning difficulties at school I was amazed to be able to sit and study on my own and achieve the grades I have.

Back in January I received some bad news from work, my employers were proposing that the depot I worked at would be closing. We entered a 90 day consultation period after that time my job would be made redundant. I was also on the waiting list for a hernia operation, things didn't look good.

I thought long and hard about my future and decided to look on the skills train website, on March 17th I had an appointment with the college advisor, we talked for 2 hours and I signed up for the A+, N+ and CCNA courses.

I got straight to work on tma1 and submitted it and started to read tma2.
Then on March 22nd a had a call from the hospital, They had a cancellation and could do my operation on March 29th. The op went well but was very painful for 2 weeks after, spending most of my time in bed on painkillers. This put my studies on hold.

Yesterday my dad had a conflict on his pc I used my troubleshooting knowledge from tma1 to find the problem and fix it, then found the same problem on my girlfriends laptop and fixed that too.

I have recently submitted tma2 and achieved 87 mark and just submitted tma 3. The studies have gave me a greater knowledge of pc's already and will hopefully reward me with a job I will enjoy and progress in when I am made redundant.

Thanks skills train.

I have been studying CCNA for just under a year now, when I started the course I had little or no knowledge about Pc's and how it worked, but since I started the course I have learned a lot, so far I have completed Pc Master Part A and submitted my last TMA for Part B on 18/4/07. My pass marks are, 90%, 97%, 100%, 100%, 88%, 97%, 87%. All at my first attempt.

I continued to submit test while work load at work has dramatically increase. Having only be in the job for a short while I have still found time to continue with my studies while constantly learning new skills at work, the two are coming together and a lot of the skills I have learn on the course have been very useful in my work and vice verse.

When I decided to start CISCO course,I knew I was gonna have to do some courses before that to gain necessary certification. I started actually a year ago with A+ course and I am still doing it. The reason for it was I didn't have to much chance to study because of job and family. I struggled a lot at first to learn as much as possible and I wanted to finish the course as soon as possible. Unfortunately, after a long time and about 8 TMAs submitted, it turned out that I had to change the learning material and start everything from scratch. That really turned me down for some time and I thought I was never going to finish any of those courses in time. Until I found out I could the the codes for future TMAs and submit them without waiting for new material! That gave me my wings back again and I decided I will finish that A+ 2003 Objectives before the deadline and I started to work really hard again ;] From beginning of March this year I have managed to submit about 7 or 8 TMAs with quite good results and I am absolutely positive that thanks to your help, I will finish the course and pass the exams in time!

I have been working under pressure at my workplace but I am still doing well to continue with the work course and have gained an excellent understanding of the IT field and I am also a Team Player at my workplace and I also continue to strive and to keep up on my Certification. I am learning a lot about the IT field and I am enjoying it very much. I will keep striving with my course and gain the knowledge that I would like to do. I am also applying for Technical Coordinator at my workplace as you will be able to see of my career path that I submitted and if I do get the job I will even gain more knowledge in the Technical Field.

I was very much depressed with my friends comments about taking the course in the I.T sector which is completely different to food science and technology. But I am confident that I will be get into the I.T field, and continuing the studies by getting good results in TMA'S.I have achieved 100% results in my last 3 assignments.

Until a couple of months ago I'd never used a PC before, because of my interests and fascination I'm learning so much and now can format and install OS and so much more. People now come to me for help with their problems and I get great satisfaction in helping them.

I bought a motherboard, celeron proccesser, hard drive, dvd writer, 512 ddr ram and a tower. it was cheaper buying that way. I didn't really know what to do with it when I got home. An hour an a half later I had it up and running first go with windows xp installed. I was a bit worried about turning it on for the first time. I was well impressed when it worked straight away.

I never learnt English language so I think my 90% progress in TMA is great. If my progress is great- I'm great student too.

I have started a new job which requires alot of hours and hardwork, with little time for study, but I have managed to submit 2 TMA's and the results have been 100% on both. I have helped my brother build a new PC and have helped with various PC problems at work.

Since I left school I have worked in various jobs mostly on building sites hodd carrying and roofing which in the end resulted in severe back problems (sciatica), the last time I was laid off I decided I was never going back, so I started the IT course (A+,N+,CCNA) which I am doing at the moment, for someone of my age to dramatically change course has been difficult to say the least because after working in that environment for so long I'm always doubting if I can do anything else, I have now got a 12 week old daughter so finding study time has been difficult, but I have just passed the A+ exams(something I thought I would never do) which has given me new confidence,I have also diagnosed and fixed two of my wife's work colleagues PC's which made me feel great because it proved I was learning something, I know the hardest parts in the course are still to come but I now believe I can achieve them and can't wait to get to grips with them, these May seem like menial achievements to most but to me I'm halfway up everest this is something I never thought I would or could do, its never too late!.
