I attended the Introduction to MS-DOS. I found the Live Training session very helpful and interesting it was carried out at a good pace and was not too long as to make you lose interest and has improved my understanding of MS-DOS commands. I enjoyed being able to interact within the session and found it especially helpful being able to connect with a remote host and input instructions on that system as I was being guided by the tutor. This was my first live training session but I have already booked another session and I look forward to participating in it. I would strongly recommend anyone who is considering taking one to go ahead.

It was rather intresting to actually see how good my memory is, also I dont feel too bad now knowing that I'm not the only one out there that probably has problems trying to remember everything !! its all about training your brain. :-)

Looking at the different ways people use to study has been a good help. I have incorporated a couple of the ideas which I hadn't thought of before into my own style. The session was very well presented as well.

I am studying the A+ and am about half way through, my husband has been nagging me for ages to get him a new graphics card for our PC so he can play his high spec games.
He found one cheap on Ebay a few weeks ago and bid for it and when it arrived installed it.
Shortly after our PC wouldn't boot and then the dreaded 'blue screen' came up. With the knowledge I have gained since studying this course I was able to work out what the problem was and fix it!!
I don't have any previous experience with computers but am gradually gaining the confidence along with the knowledge I will need to get into an IT career.
I did think about giving up because I do find some parts of this course hard to get my head round, but I am so glad I am sticking it out, it's also nice to be able to fix my own PC!!

When I started this course I just came out of the Hospital with a very serious infection in my kidneys .I was looking for a course I could study from home which would make it easier for me,then I recieved a flyer from skilltrain I had a look at it and I found that web designer was the most interesting subject to me.I didn't know a lot about computers but now with this course I am learning a lot. This course has saved me because of the nature of my disability I cannot go out on the buses and trains to the Universities. I can study from my own home and copping with my disability in the mean time. Studying harder has improved my assigment a lot. Skillstrain is the Training to success.

Last week I submitted my first TMA, I had been struggling to take in the vast amount of info involved in this course and had even pondered giving up but I got my head down and studied till I felt comfortable with this info. So I submitted my TMA and the results came back at 100%, I couldn't believe it. This has now giving me the confidence to power through, and I shall be ready for my second TMA very shortly. Thanks to my tutor for the help. Top notch.
