I have attended two live internet training sessions within the last few weeks and found them most enjoyable and useful.

Looking at the different ways people use to study has been a good help. I have incorporated a couple of the ideas which I hadn't thought of before into my own style. The session was very well presented as well.

I am studying the A+ and am about half way through, my husband has been nagging me for ages to get him a new graphics card for our PC so he can play his high spec games.
He found one cheap on Ebay a few weeks ago and bid for it and when it arrived installed it.
Shortly after our PC wouldn't boot and then the dreaded 'blue screen' came up. With the knowledge I have gained since studying this course I was able to work out what the problem was and fix it!!
I don't have any previous experience with computers but am gradually gaining the confidence along with the knowledge I will need to get into an IT career.
I did think about giving up because I do find some parts of this course hard to get my head round, but I am so glad I am sticking it out, it's also nice to be able to fix my own PC!!

I attended a live session on learning styles.
I'm 35 and have done a a variety of studies throughout my life, and I was surprised to learn that I knew very little about my own preferred learning style. I knew what worked best for me for many things, but I was astonished to learn that my style falls into a category.
With your help I have been able to identify what kind of learner I am, and (I hope), I've now been able to implement new techniques to supplement the ones I already had in place. And guess what. I think I'm learning to keep in a lot more information first time by doing so.
I would thoroughly recommend anyone who is able to takes part in these online courses. I did the one on learning styles because I wanted to participate and experience as much as I possibly could. I was surprised at how much I learnt as I mentioned above.
So don't be shy people. I encourage you to have a go and see what you can find out about yourself. Our tutors are there to help, and that they do very well. Book yourself a course today and prepare yourself for some nice relaxing fun, and a few pleasant surprises along the way :)

I would just like to say that I really enjoyed the Live Internet Training session I attended on Learning Styles. It was really easy to use & understand. I learnt that my learning style is visual, but also kinesthetic as I do highlight a lot of things.
I really look forward to attending more Live Internet Training sessions in the very near future, especially sessions relating to the course I am doing.

I would recommend thateveryone who has just started to use Student World attend this session online as I found it to be very informative and allows you to be able to see and have the explanation of each sub-section. I found this session to very helpful, thank you.

The live internet training sessions open up student world to things you never think to look at.

The questions that were asked to find out your learning styles worked bang on. The answer it came back for me was auditry learning, eg reading stuff out loud and so on. I find that this works absolutely brilliantly.

I have attended my first Live Internet Training Session. It was a great experience for me and I enjoyed it. I had more fun with the seven questions which outlined basically one's "best learning method." Overall though, it is nice to understand that EVERYONE learns by a combination of styles.
Needless to say though that I am using the 3 main learning styles and they are really helpful.
I look forward to attending more Live Sessions.
