IT Training Courses Certification Reviews
Tthis is my fourth Live Internet Training class and it was brilliant, especially the answer/question part, I always wanted it to be this way, excellent once again.

This has been a very good month for me in terms of getting new knowledge. First of all I have submitted three TMA and from two of them I gained 100%. At the time of writing my story I am waiting for the next TMA results and activation code which will allow me to submit another TMA.
I had had a little break at the beginning of the month but then I started my course again. I have learned quite a lot interesting things of which I wasn't aware before. I have learned that Active Directory isn't that simple as I was thinking before. Now I have big picture of it and I still believe I will discover a lot of new things which will be very useful for me is my career.
I have learned how to use few interesting tools and they helped me a lot with writing scripts. The knowledge which I gained saved me a lot of time. Probably without this course I would never know that they exist.
I am looking forward now to see my next part of the course and that hopefully within three months I will start taking my MCSE exams.

Last week I managed to get myself in touch with an association named LG technology inovations. Before that, I had an interview with Microsoft computing, and was called back for a second interview. I am currently working at LG as a part-time employee and have started a job with them as an administrator working on there systems. Microsoft had no issues with me working for them except I complete the training course and then can apply for an MCSA administrator within there company. I since was fishing for employment to get a "start up foot" in, so I could progress and be able to get used to the environment. Luckily, as mentioned, I did get in to LG and now hope to progress within there company so I can get hands on experience. I can see my career pushing forward, and can see were I hope to be in 10yrs time, and its a great thought! Once again, I would like to thank everyone at skills train and advice everyone who is out there on skillstrain programme, to keep it up, its all worth the effort!

I am a qualified nurse who works in a nursing care home. I deal with residents with dementia and frail elderly. I have been here for 18 months from Botswana Africa, a country hardest hit with HIV/AIDS. But through hard work and dedication in a new environment I manage to succed through the odds. I have been promoted to a post of a sister from 13/08/07 at a local care home where I'm currently working.
I feel honoured to be given that challenging role but at the same time I find time to do my studies with skillstrain.
One day at work I assisted a colleague to operate a computer, and despite limited knowledge, I was confident enough. I helped because she was about to call a technician out which was going to cost a company a fortune.
Generally I think I have achieved more than I expected and am currently encouraging my friends to join skillstrain.
Thank you!

I recently passed MU120 as part of my degree course for the open university(unfortunately no score was given for this course as it is a refresher course for those entering into a degree in Computing and mathematical science), as well as studying for tma05 (ok so I didn't pass this first time) and my grades for my A+ course are pretty high considering the fact that I am studying two courses at once. I have also recently built a new computer for my GodDaughter and put her on my network as well, as regularly helping my friends and family with thier own computer related problems.

I have over the past few tmas got 100% so I am very pleased with myself. I am currently looking into starting my own business so I am trying to find the best reliable places to get pc parts, many many people are now asking my advice instead of going to the local pc repairer, they are telling me I know more than he does. That I am not sure on but if I dont know I tell them and I also tell them my advice is only a phone call away as a result they are letting other people know who I am

Whilst continuing my studies with the MCSA course, of which I have nearly completed, I have in the last two weeks passed BOTH my A+ Certification exams (220-601 & 220-602), and am looking forward to taking my N+ exam soon!
-Andrew
Thank you for giving me the exposure to the LIT, I am very delighted that I have made it to the class and I would like to thank our teaching department. It was fantastic, easy and clear though I got one answer incorrect but I am happy. My other weaknes was not being able to use the icons but next class I will. I have gained a lot about security as I nearly made mistake of signing on phishing thinking its the right thing and luckily I just ignored it. Thank you once again.

AT 33 AND NOT HAVING STUDIED FOR MANY YEARS I ENROLED IN SKILLSTRAIN COURSE. I WORK FULL TIME AND HAVE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN AS WELL AS A LOVING WIFE WHO HAS TO PUT UP WITH ME WORKING AND STUDYING ALL THE TIME. I STARTED THIS MONTH AND HAVE COMPLETED 3 ASSIGNMENTS, 93% 95%, AND I HAVE JUST FOUND OUT I`VE GOT 100% IN MY THIRD. I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD ACHIEVE SO MUCH AND ENJOY IT LIKE I AM...THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT OF YOU GUYS AND MY FAMILY.
-Craig
The Live Internet Training is well presented and informative.

I have just passed the A+ essentials exam and have booked the next one to complete the course in 2 weeks. I have almost finished the N+ course as well and expect to take that exam in October. I get married in November and can then continue with the CCNA after the honeymoon as I'll be looking for a new job in the computer industry!
-Steve
I have just passed my A+ Essentials Exam with a score of 730 and have booked up the A+ 602 exam as well to complete the 1st part of my course. I have 1 more TMA to complete the N+ stage of my course and hope to sit that Exam sometime in October. I have done this whilst learning the Grooms speech and finalising arrangements for my marriage on November 3rd!
-Steve
At the begining of my course I had no technical knowledge of computers at all. Since starting to study for my CCNA I have been able to upgrade my computer by adding extra RAM. I found out what I needed and ordered it and installed it myself.
I have been out of work for more than five years as I have been on long term Incapacity Benefit due to ill health. The illness I suffer from is Manic Depression, and side affects of the medication meant that I was constantly tired, could not concentrate and had no motivation. I spent 7 weeks in hospital in the early part of 2006, 3 weeks of which was in Intensive Care where my family were told that they were not sure whether I would live or not.
Thank God I survived and have managed to recover sufficiently to take on this Computer course, and am really enjoying studying and I am motivated do it which would have been impossible befere my hospitalization.
My achievements so far include some good results for my assignments.
Thank you for giving me something to get up in the morning for.

Before I enrolled with skillstrain,it has been my heart desire to look for another job because of the hours I spent in the night doing security job. As a matter of fact there was a need for me to learn something new to fulfil this dream. I was over-joyed when I received a call from skillstrain, followed by the confirmation from your course advisor that I can do the course. I felt within me that I was on the way towards realising my dream. After the discussion with the advisor, I started with Comptia A+ and since then I have been doing the course and I am impressed by the scores of my TMAs and I believe as a result of this I am encouraged to press on. It thrills me each time I look at my scores because I started this course when I know nothing about computers. I am hoping and believing to secure a job that will enable me to leave my security job, work during the day time at a good pay and have peaceful rest at night, when I finish my Comptia A+and N+ and do the exams.
Thanks for giving me this opportunity to pursue my heart's desire.

I had a brain tumour removed in March this year, and for the following few months was unable to function without someone elses help (I was a very indepentant person previously). I have now begun learning again with Skillstrain even though I had to resign from my job. Hopefully I will be able to complete this and then look to a total change in both outlook and job prospect.
-Sandra
Using the course information and the internet to identify a problem(UNBOOTABLE_VOLUME) and repair my laptop. This involved going into the recovery mode in the XP installation disk. This identified a faulty disk drive. Disk drive changed problem solved. Also using beeps in BIOS TEST to tell my neighbour to replace keyboard. This also worked. Three weeks ago before getting the Skillstrain material I knew nothing about how to begin to fault find on a PC.

I would start by congratulating SKILLS TRAIN for giving us the opportunity to improve our lives. SKILLS TRAIN has made a remarkable influence in my life since I started my course in web designing last month in August.
I have a little previous experience in web designing but right now even still in my foundation class, I have become fully confident in the field.
I work from 7.30 AM - 4.00PM and afterwards have to come back home and put in more effort into my studies. What I did was to take my SKILLS TRAIN pack along to work and in my spare time during lunch hours, I eat while looking into my books and trying to grab one or two points.Believe me every single word you read in your SKILLS TRAIN book is worth keeping in your head and I will quote here that "If you believe in the course you are engaged in, then every page, every chapter would present a new challenge to you and because you believe in it , you will win the race".
-Michael
I have just completed section 1 of the web design manager course with a final TMA score of 100%. I had never worked with a computer until this course but since starting I have only had to re-submit 2 out of 15 TMA's and have achieved consistent scores of between 90 and 100%. For the past twenty years I have worked (and still am) as a painter and decorator and at the age of 38 I decided to radically change my career options and here I am!
I am over the moon with my progress thus far and look forward to getting into section 2. I never thought I would be able to do something like this but I have a great interest in the subject and I think that this keeps me going and helps me absorb the knowledge, while at the same time trying to chase down work on building sites I think I have climbed a mountain and I can't wait for the next one.
-Stephen
Having recovered from a serious car crash 2005/06, I was unable to retain short term information, suffering from blackouts, given the all clear to return to work in April 2007 I am now studying for my MCSA course and feeling confident in being able to study and retain the information learnt.

I never find it easy to blow my own trumpet but I feel that I am holding my own really well. My wife suffers from depression, anxiety and severe agrophobia, this has a big impact on both my job and the time available for study. My average for 24 assignments on the A+ is 93%. I am a 40 year old teaching assistant looking for a major change in career direction. With each assignment despite the stresses of my home, the feedback always motivates me to achieve the best I can.
-Andrew
I took on this course with no knowledge about computers at all. Needless to say, I now show my younger brother and friends how to use a computer, I have gained so much confidence in using pc's now. My assignment marks have been so much better than first thought, when looking at the assignments I was lost, but squeezing in as much study as possible in the time available to me, the results were worth all the effort. I've done all this whilst working a fulltime day job and 3 nights a week.. Really enjoying the course.. Goes to show that no matter how much time you have, you can still achieve what you set out to do... Thanks skillstrain.....
