IT Training Courses Certification Reviews
I have started my own webdesign company and love the help this course has given me.
-Daniel
Hello, I am a mechanical engineering graduate, but was still a complete novice in web related issues before I started this program. To say the truth, all I knew and did online was to check my Yahoo mail!!!!.
In me, I always had a deep urge to know more about IT and Web Designing in particular and I had always thought of it. So one day while watching the television I saw a Skillstrain advertisement, it really caught my attention so I did more research on it and "it was exactly what I needed". The CIW E-commerce and CompTIA Project+ program had the right mix and match of my desired modules and included Project management (a very important management tool), so I enrolled for this course.
So far it has been a very interesting course and I am very passionate about it, the tutors are very efficient and the course materials are very understandable, I am already feeling very knowledgeable in this field. My family and friends say I work on it and talk about it all the time. I even dropped my other course I registered for so I can have enough time to work on this course. I am really enjoying my course so far.
Thanks alot Skillstrain for giving me an oppourtunity to do what I really want to do.

I have so far passed all the network assignments that I have taken and at work yesterday I managed to fix the shops telephones and got the shops chip and pin machine sending data again. It was tricky given the ancient software, at least it got the District Manager out of the shop so she would stop rebooting my till!

2007 was the hardest time for me, in my whole life. In January my Dad died and month after I was moving home. My thoughts and my feelings of the lost of some one closed to my heart made me sank. There was no chance for me to do any studying as there was time for me deal with so important issues as family and home; and I could not failed on that. Now I am back to what I have so much wanted, it is the studying. Sometimes, Still it happens , that my tears roll on my cheeks but looking into the future and being one day the great help for others puts my spirit up and helps me to carry on with my studying.
I am very proud of myself, as recently I helped my sister fix her computer and installed the internet on the phone and that is not an easy job when you are not able to see the equipment. After 5 hours of my help I became succesfull and my sister can enjoy using her computer.

In the last month I have successfully completed my ECDL, alongside studying towards gaining comptia A+, I have now completed TMA03, this for me is very self rewarding, I can NOW help my Daughter with her computer problems without too many hickups, this is all thanks to the training & help that I have found invaluable and look forward to continuing my studying.

I continued with the course content with the added pressure of a new job and two new babies!!! Life is tough!!!

I do not have access to the internet I don't even have a computer. I should be doing a course called "Beginning for beginners". After months of illness I felt that I would just get on with it and do my best and since that time I have seen some changes: alright it hasn't been anything astonishing to an outsider but within myself I am quietly satisfied with the knowledge that things are moving forward albeit slowly. There is a confidence about my studying that is very gratifying and at the sending of each TMA I am overcome with the sense of achievement beyond my expectation.

I consider it a great personal achievment that I have been able to juggle working a 3-shift rotation(mornings, afternoons and nights)as well as weekend work, somtimes doing a seven day week and still completing my course work to a high standard. Throw in a football mad 3 year old son and you know ive got my work cut out!
-Darren
I have just started the N+ course and I have achieved good results in my first two TMA's. I feel this is a good achievement as I have had a busy year. I passed my A+ exams earlier in the year then I got married on September 8th. During this time I found it difficult to study as I was so busy but now I am studying hard again and this shows with my first two TMA scores for the N+ (which is not an easy course!).

Despite the recent death of a grandparent and the upset that comes with it, my family and close friends have encouraged me to carry on my studies towards my network+ certification, and I have produced a row of good tma results, and I am now revising for the exam.

After several false starts and a year of redundancy, learning a new job, family bereavement and a close family member being found to be in need of kidney transplant I have finally managed to get my course up and running.
I have attained good results in all of the TMA's submitted. I have just submitted my 5th TMA for October.
I have found a study regime that works well for me, with my new job. It means an early commute to miss the traffic and I have used the time available prior to starting work to study. I have found a policy of little and regular is one that works for me.

I was determined to change my career. I came to know about skillstrain through leaflet in the post. I have joined A+/N+/CCNA course. I manage to submit majority of the A+/N+ assignments in the first attempt. I passed my A+ exam in first attempt with good marks. Since last month I am running a part time small business from home, as an IT technician. I am receiving 2-3 computers per week for repair or upgrade, baring in mind that it is relatively new business, and I haven't promoted it as much yet. I am hoping to expand it in near future through advertising and make it as full time business.
The knowledge I have obtained wouldn't have been possible without the help and support of the tutors at skillstrain. I am looking forward for a bright future after completing my study.

I have just recieved my results for my first TMA and recieved 100% which I was surprised at and I am ready for submitting my second so fingers crossed.
While I have been learning I have also been showing and helping my partner with his computer which makes you feel good that you are actually starting to understand what some of the features are.

Sent my TMA the about a week ago and got a 90% score, viewed where I went wrong with documentation, and think I now understand. Im now starting to understand about troubleshooting in different scenarios, the difference between hardware and software, different O/S's and their features, using MS-DOS command lines, and understanding about files and their extensions.

I recently had to deal with the unfortunate death of my sister. I felt as though all was lost but knowing that I have so much to achieve through skills train has helped pull me through such a depressing time. I am nearly finished my A+ and im looking forward to doing my N+. Id like to say thank you to everyone at the Skillstrain.

I HAVE SUCCESFULLY COMPLETED ALL OF THE FIRST PART OF MY COURSE AND AM HALF WAY THROUGH THE SECOND PART WHICH. I FEEL BEING AS I WORK 50 HOURS A WEEK. HAVE A WIFE AND 4 YEAR OLD SON I WOULD SAY IS ONE HELL OF AN ACHIEVEMENT AND I'M PROUD OF MYSELF. HARD WORK I KNOW WILL PAY OFF IN THE END. I WANT A BETTER FUTURE AND AM GETTING EXCELLENT FAMILY SUPPORT.

Ive completed Part 1 Section A. I started the course on the 14/09/07. When I submit my last 4 TMA's I got a BRILLIANT service from my tutors. I'd like to thank EVERYONE who was involved.

I have been studying for the nine months and at times struggled to do this, after suffering two heart attacks and some days not feeling as good as I could. I have carried on and hopefully I am not too far behind, but I have gained a lot of information from this course and hopefully can put this to good use.

I've had R.S.D (Chronic Pain ) since 1996, finaly got a new implant to sort out the pain in 2003,now I can learn something new again, I love using my computer. I started this course at the begining of this month and now due to do my 3rd assignment, and feel proud of myself, it's all good fun.
