Before commencing this course I only knew few things about I.T. but now I know things that seems like something I can never understand.
Regarding my job and family demand, I thought I might not be able to cope but perform excellently in my TMA01.
The course has open my eyes to hidden treasures in I.T.

I have been refining my studying methods and as each TMA gets harder and harder I still manage to get above 90% and I just know that through effort I will keep it this way! I knew a bit about PCs before I started, but now I know a lot more than I could ever have imagined existed.

After completing my second assignment. My cousin asked me to help him with his pc because he couldnt get no sound. I had a look in control panel, administrative tools, computer managment and there I seen a yellow quistion mark and I knew that there was a problem with the driver. I had a look and I clicked on a tab call update driver and it fixed it for him. It made me very happy.

I feel I have achieved so much this month I work full time as a supermarket manager doing over 50 hours a week and with christmas coming the stress is really on for me , also runnining my own photo buissness doing a further 16 hours a week working in nightclubs all weekends and I have already achieved 4 tma in a month with great passes and I find it so hard to study at home as I have two children under my feet at times .
I feel that skills train has designed the course in such a way that makes it possible for people like me to learn in bite sizes and I will achieve my targets and all thanks to skills train who made this possible for me

When I started my A+/N+ training I had difficulties with concentration for at least 30min.Due to some family hardships I had been dealing with it was even worse to carry on studying.I realised how an opportunity it would be in changing my life by persevering in pursuing my goals with this course.Today I have gained respect at work because I help my work mates and family friends with issues they encounter when working on their PCs. Recently a businessman I meet through a friend during a conference promised me a good job in his company in IT as soon as I completed the course.My skills in computers is getting better and my prospects in technology are like start of a new dawn.All the money I used to spend on IT technicians is now staying in my pocket. I love this course.

WITH MY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO USE THE COMPUTER(PC, I DECIDED TO ENHACE MY CHANCE OF GAINING AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK IN AN IT COMPANY. AFTER I HAD DONE ALL MY RESEARCH ON THE BEST IT TRAINING SCHOOL, SKILLSTRAIN SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING THAT CAN DELIVER ME FROM MY PROBLEMS. SO WENT ON AND SIGNED UP FOR A COURSE IN PC HARDWARE AND MAINTENANCE. I'M FINDING IT REALLY INTERESTING STUDYING. SINCE I JOINED SKILLSTRAIN MY WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SIT FOR MY EXAMS. I JUST WANT TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU FOR MY COURSE WORK WHICH IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

I feel like I am really starting to get my learning style down to a 'T' and I am really starting to enjoy learning these new things to help me in my future life.
Also even though its not much I have submitted 2 assignments this month and have started my third but I really understood the sections of the coursework and the meaning of studying/learning to better myself and the prospect of a new career. I am starting to take it all in I have the Learning style's class on the missed lessons section and the Motivation tips on Student world to thank for that.
Everytime I submit a TMA I find myself waiting for the results like a kid waiting for his presents on Christmas day which put a smile on my face when I thought about it, its very rewarding.
I thank the Skills Train Team for this, oh and Student world too, keep up the good work.

I got a part time job doing quick fixes on 30 computers.

I have built my own p.c that I using for this course and I have being studying hard to get good marks. I help my friend terry to use his p.c and printer to print photo's. I fixed my friend's p.c and got it to startup by checking the components and the connectors And found the problem. The U.S.B was the bend in on it's self so I unbend it and the pc strartup and I format the pc and upgarde it. I show my friend's kids how to use the p.c and how to turn of the p.c.

I wish to show my appreciation to Skillstrain for all the support I have got so far in my training in Web Design. I believe, I have achieved a lot from the coaching. Everything is just unbelievably remarkable and marvellous. The standard is excellent. Presently, I am in my Section four of my training, It wont be long now before I round up my course and sit for my exams. I just cannot wait to show the CIW examiners the knowledge and skills I have acquired from SkillsTrain. To this end, I would like to state here without any fear of apparent contradiction that Skillstrain is the best distance learning IT organisation in the UK.

When I started this course two years ago I had very little knowledge and confidence in computing but not anymore as I have studied hard to achieve great result and self confidence. Today I have submitted my final TMA and I hope I will achieve an excellent result when I sit my exams I m very proud of myself and Skills Train as they have giving me everything I need to enhance my career in the IT industry. There had being hard times as I have to manage both my job and house life but in the end I m very happy to get to this point of completion. Thank you very much Skills Train and special thank you goes to my Tutors for their relentless efforts.

SkillsTrain has given me the confidence to start looking for work to become a freelance web designer until I have completed my course when I plan on finding employment with a company.
I now have 2 happy clients and with the ever growing skills I am acquiring through the SkillsTrain I am able to deliver them with a professional service.
Also this month I feel like I have really learnt something totally new to me which is JavaScript, I have put so many hours into trying to learn it and I have now finally got to a stage where I feel comfortable with the language.

I AM A MOTHER OF THREE CHILDREN 8, 6 AND 2 1/2 YEARS OF AGES, THEY KEEP ME VERY BUSY. RECENTLY I HAVE GONE THROUGH MY RIGHT HAND OPERATION ( CARPEL TUNNEL SYNDROM) AND RECOVERING FROM IT GRADUALLY. TODAY I AM HAPPY TO RECEIVE 100 % IN MY ASSIGNMENT BECAUSE I FEEL THAT IN MY BUSY AND DIFFICULT SITUATIONS I STILL CAN ACHIEVE SOMETHING IF I WORK HARD.

I am so pleased that I have now completed my first tutor marked assessment. it wont sound much to some people but its an achievement to me as im a single parent with 2 children and thought id struggle greatly but has been much easier than I thought.
I really wanted to work with computers for so long and never thought id get the opportunity as its so expensive but skillstrain has made that possible for me now and im so grateful and hopefully soon ill be able to provide my children with that better life that ive always wanted them to have but struggled finacially to do so. So id like to thank skillstrain for this fabulous opportunity.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this course but when the pre-exam assignment hit my desk I was horrified! It wasn't that I didn't know HOW to do the work but that I was nervous about doing it. The end of the course was so near but I couldn't help thinking that there was no way I could pass/finish as I never had done well at school and the idea of submitting a whole "assignment" like this was very unnerving. Luckily the documents sent to me had clear instructions and the help and advice from my tutors has been fantastic, reassuring me and keeping me on track! I have now submitted the assignment and am awaiting the marks for it, I know if it comes back it won't be the end of the world because again I will have the tutors' support if I need it to make any alterations.
Its a fantastic feeling to have overcome this "fear" of assignments and essays and know that I CAN achieve the qualification I want and need, and hopefully be able to take another course after this!

With my limited schedule, I have achieved an exceptional results for the past four (4) weeks. I submitted 4 course work within November. I am doing this alongside with my work and writing - up of my LLM Thesis which due by December 2007. I have done extremely good, so far as my results are concerned.

I feel that despite being ill for the last 2 weeks still having to battle through my current full time job whilst being ill and also helping my Father in law pack his house up as he is moving in a couple of weeks, I still managed to find the time to continue with my course.

I am now working on assignment 11 I am proud at how far I have come. Now I am working on a website to enter that Skills Train competition. I could hardly believe that I am working on my very first website. It was not too long ago when I did not know anything about html or css, now I am confident enough to build my own, it's really amazing.

I have finished my first course book and have passed all tutor marked assignments. I have done this as well as working Monday to Friday 5am till 1pm I am very proud of my self for passing all the course so far and I havent really needed much help yet. I am very proud.

The most significant accomplishment for me was my new job. After a long wait, I have moved into the IT industry. I am now working as a Technical Sales Advisor. Prior to this I was working as a part-time cleaner!
In the interview I had an assessment to complete. Awareness and understanding, which I only got from studying with SkillsTrain. Lacking the knowledge of this course, I can guarantee I would not have been successful for my Advisor position. Before I started this course I had no knowledge with regards to the computing environment but now I have encompassed a lot of things and has aided me to achieve my goal.
Furthermore, using the knowledge from studying the course I have helped many family, friends and neighbours with setting up their computers, wireless networks etc.
I am astonished at the skills I have acquired so far. My results have also been very good. I have achieved over 85% in my recently submitted TMAs. I very much like the style of the presentations, support notes and most importantly the excellent Live Internet Training labs, which is unbelievably helpful.
I am proud and thrilled of being part of such a great IT learning centre. I wish to convey my gratitude and appreciation to the full SkillsTrain.
