Thanks very much to all the tutors for their surrport and most of all skillstrain and student world. I haven't done any course in a long time and now to achive these marks is excellent. At the same time I have 4 kids to look after, so you can image 24hrs with kids but I still put in as much time as I can. I know with skillstrain I can achive my goal in life.

I have recently been in an accident which stopped me from being in a state to work on my course, I have recently restarted work and in the last two weeks done more than I have in the year and a half since I signed up to SkillsTrain. I also have constantly kept my TMA scores over 75% and the first one I handed in after my accident I scored 90% and I'm confident the one I submitted tonight will be just as good if not better.

Although I am taking my time with the course to digest as much of the information on hand as possible without missing anything I was happy today when a colleague at work was at a loss to how web pages are made and the varying aspects of this and I took time to explain what web pages where and all the different aspects that can be applied within a web page. Although it was only a basic knowledge for now it was good to see the smile on his face when he understood what a web page was (although still at a loss to how someone actually understands the ins and outs) :) I felt good within myself as even though it was a small amount of information it was something I couldn't have done before studying.

I feel I have made a great improvement in my knowledge of web work over the past few months of doing the course and am progressing well through the course and look forward to the new challenges I will face in the coming months, and then making a start in my new it career.

After having to take almost 4 months out of my course to relocate from Scotland to England, I am now back to my regular studying routine. It was hard to pick up again once out of the habit, but it's paying off now and I'm almost half-way through the course and more determined than ever to finish and get my certification. Kudos to Skillstrain for the letter prompting me to get back down to work. It was in the calender for that week anyway, but I imagine most training providers don't bother once they've got your money.

Studying with skilltrain has made me improve the little knowledge I had about web designing. With the course that am studying right now (e-commerce and project) I have learnt alot. I have learnt how the internet market works, how to design web sites and implement as well. I have learnt about e-commerce packages-suppose you want to run a bussiness on the internet and but you do not know where to start from and how to choose the right package please do give me a shout I will be more than happy to help. Not all people know which is the right package for running their bussinesses so much so that at the end of the day they end up spending more than what is necessary. Due to the knowledge I have learnt from skillstrain am actually thinking of running my own bussiness on the internet.

I have even learnt how the credit cards are processed and how it works to make it safe for customers on the internet. We all feel insecure, unsafe and reluctant to to use our credit cards on the internet, with me right now I feel relieved to use my credit card on the internet because I know how it works-all this I learnt from studying with skillstrain.

Currently am still doing my studies and recentry I sat for CIW e-commerce exams of which I passed. Thanks to skillstrain for the student world. The tutors are so helpful. I can't wait to finish my studies and move into IT industry and get a job of my dreams. At the moment am only a cleaner, with the help of skillstrain and the knowlede I have learnt my future has been shaped well and I know I have a new career, I can forsee my future. I am 100% positive that I will get a nice job and say "bye bye" to this cleaning job.

So much to say but all I can say is " skillstrain, you are a star babe,rock on!!!!"

Hi, I took on this course last May in hopes of being able to start a new career. I am only 20 but I have been a restaurant manager since I was 18. I have always loved computering and when I decided to start a course it was more like a hobby for me. Now I have a real ambition to succeed in this. up untill 31st of January I was a restaurant manager for bhs and I had to travel by train for an hour an half there and a hour and a half back every day. Im caring for my nan aswell after work (my brother takes care of her during the day). So I was often doing 12 hour work days then starting again when I came home. So I took the decision to change jobs so that I could be around for my nan more. Now im supervisor for costa coffee and on less money. The reason I took a demotion was because since starting this course I havent had time to complete it. Now I have an hour a day where I can study hard and acheive what I believe is my ideal career. I just want to say thank you to my student liason officer and my tutors for their support in making it possible for me to progress in my course at skilltrain college. In the first instant I found it very difficut to start the course but with the help of my tutors I am progressing especially whenever I recieve my progress report it make me belief I can do better. And this gives me the motivation that I need to move on. You are wonderful people.

First of all, I must admit I'VE COME A LONG WAY!!! Less than 6 months after taking up the MCSE course, I have successfully troubleshooted printer problems, as well as configured a small network of 10 workstations, making some little pocket change in the process.

Despite my previous "vast" (university) computer knowledge, I have never successfully troubleshooted such problems INDIVIDUALLY. The MCSE course has imparted quite a lot practical knowledge to enable me do so. I look forward to each topic, knowing I am being prepared for a career in the NEAREST future.

I feel I have achieved better assignment results each time I have submitted an assignment, ive been studying a lot harder than I was when I started the course and feel im getting a lot from doing the course and some things I didnt know about before I start the course last August.

I have achieved nothing less than 80% in the TMA's since I have started the course, this I think is a reflection of the amount of studying that I carry out in order to achieve the exceptional results that I have. Out of the 4 TMA's I have received back 2 of them have been 100% and with the confidence I have gained carrying out this course I believe the 5th TMA I have submitted will also be graded 100% as I have put in alot of study time to achieve the best result possible. Also I feel as a personal achievement I have taught younger children who have minimal knowledge of computers and the internet, how to use their computer safely online without any fear of recieving any virus, spyware or adware. Also I have educated the parents of these children to use certain family saftey software so the children are safe online and are unable to access any sites which are unsuitable for children. As a result of this parents of these children have appreciated this help and have recommended me to friends so that I can try and help keep other children safe onlne and best of all is that the service I have provided has been free of charge. This has also helped me build my knowledge base and customer care skills.

I am pleased to say that so far I have achieved 90% or greater on my TMA's which I am extremely pleased about. But more then that I am extremely proud of myself for completing the two units on networks. I had very limited understanding of networks, but with the clear and precise text I can say without a doubt that I know more about networks now then I have ever done previously. It May seem like small potatoes but to me, the network parts of the course I knew would be hard, they were infact quite easy to understand due to the fact that it was written clearly and in a way in which I could understand. Makes me want to get the A+ done and move onto the N+ as quick as possible.

I have never been one for studing and could never apply myself to it, for e.g I started this course in three years ago with the ambition to finsh it quickly but I never actually started until November 2007. Since then I have seen what the course work has to offer and I have been blown away by how easy it is to get my head down and actually study. The course work is fantastic and easy to get to grips with, I May only have just completed part a in the Comptia A+ section but I have learned and achieved alot and look forward to what this course holds for me not only in work prospects but what it has done for me as a person and that is all thanks to skillstrain who have made it possible.

I HAVE WORKED VERY HARD OVER THE PASSED MONTH, I FOUND IT VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHICH KNOCKED MY CONFIDENCE AND MADE IT VERY TO OPEN THE BOOK I HAVE BEEN OUT AND BOUGHT A LAPTOP AND PENS AND PAPER AND OTHER THINGS TO HELP.
I HAVE BEEN LOGGING ONTO STUDENT WORLD MORE AND REALISED I HAVE HELP FROM MY TUTOR THAT GIVES ME MY CONFIDENCE. I AM STUDYING LOADS AND UNDERSTANDING AND REMEBERING MOST THINGS AND WORKING FROM A TIME TABLE AND GOING OVER IT AGAIN AND AGAIN TILL I UNDERSTAND.

People are now asking me for advice about there pc,s as they know if I dont know the answer the answer is only a phone call or an e.mail away.up to now I have been able to give them all the answers they need I have given them more space on there hard drives I have speeded up there pc,s helped them with networking installed cd and dvd players and copiers and expansion cards and many other things I am pleased to tell you I know more than I realise I know but I wont let this go to my head as all of life is a learning curve and its never too late to learn if I dont pass this course I am pleased to have made the effort.

Since starting this course at the beginning of January I have become 100% more confident about solving promblems and maintaining computers, I have even started some part time work for a company that repairs p.c's and laptops. I have also built a p.c for a friend to his specification, which I feel is a good achievement in itself, because 2 months ago I would have had no idea where to even start. So I think my biggest achievement so far would be, having the confidence to competently build and repair computers.

I have recently joined Skillstrain and enjoying every minute of it. I have done 2 assignments and I am ready to do my third. I am very grateful for all the support I receive and look forward to a fantastic new career after completing my course.

After much stopping and starting I have finally persevered and completed the first part of my course. Despite redundancy and learning a new job plus family bereavement I have stuck to my objectives and got through. With a clear study plan now in place I am looking forward to the next part. I May not have been a quick in achieving this but have done so with excellent results in my TMA's - something that I am most proud of.

I was very much pleased with my academic perfomance last month especially bacause as I've been out of school for almost 10 years; and being able to pull it through while under pressure from work.

Since I started this course I have been very busy with work and other household duties. I tried to take some time out to study, but after a tiring day at work I felt as though my brain would switch-off in the evening.

It was only when I returned from abroad, after getting married, I thought to myself 'if I cant do in now I'll never be able to do it.' So, I put my head down and studied as hard as I could and submitted ten TMAs within a period of one month. In majority of my TMAs I got 100% and the remaining over 90%.

I think I have done very well for myself this month, not to forget my mother has also been critically ill in hospital for the last couple of weeks.
