I feel I really achieved well. When I started the course I knew little about IT but now my knowledge and understanding of the subject has immensely increased. I have built up my own PC with no problems and I am keeping up to date with the change in technology since I now have a grounding in the basics and more. I've also been able to troubleshoot problems that I have experienced myself by the guidelines I learned from the different sections. I study hard and always try to achieve better or maintain the percentages I get in my TMAs. I'm dedicated and have my TMAs done as soon as I understand the unit. I am also looking forward to the examination I will be writing soon as I am confident I'll be doing well.

Getting skilled through SKILLS TRAIN, I am doing well as an Engineer in company's infrastructur. During my work routines, I find the problems which I have seen in the books(SKILLS TRAIN Syllabus). This course has helped me a lot in getting the amplitude to resolve the computing issues.
I found a computer, working on one place very fine, however, when I moved it from one place to another, it stopped working on first screen. A month back, I 've gone through the Chapter in which I have read about BIOS POST test. I checked everything one by one and removed the faulty hardware which was mouse in this case.

FROM DOOR SUPERVISOR (SECURITY STAFF) TO A NETWORK ENGINEER

I am currently taking my second semester CCNA course and this on its own is a lot of achievement by me. It takes a lot of courage and determination to combine your regular work, your university course and the Cisco courses.

Although I have not been promoted since the last time I got a promotion, but I could smell promotion. Armed with the practical experiences I got from CCNA semester 1, I have helped to draw up a network diagram for the IS department whcih has been accepted and been worked on at the moment. I used Packet Tracer to achieve this. My name has been put forward for sponsorship by my company for more professional courses due to my contribution.

What a successful career path skillstrain college has given me (from a security officer to a network engineer)!

May I use this opportunity to extend my warm gratitude to my tutors, students and staff of skillstrain college for the good work. I can't wait to complete my CCNP so that I could embark on a company sponsored learning with skillstrain.

I have been working really hard this month, after being taken ill I was unable to achieve the goals that I had intended to achieve; maybe now that I am on the road to recovery I can catch up and pass this course by the end of the year :) thanks for all your help

Despite the high demand from the degree programme, I managed to complete the A+ section which am waiting for the other part of the course. Though, this help me too to do some little jobs on friends and my own computer or other electronics.

I have started studying again for the first time since I was 16 and I am now 32, trying to get into studying again has been really hard but what is driving me is the outcome of what I can achieve and where I can go in my career in the future. After my first 2 assignments which I have completed and I got 100% for my first and 97% for my second, that has giving me so much confidence that I can succeed in all the work and effort I put into this course.

I was recently having the most horrendous time with my PC at work, every time I switched between my business system, and my office 2000 system, my PC would just shutdown. This was happening maybe 20-30 times a day. I got in touch my IT dept, they told me try some things, which I did without success. They then sent out an engineer to look at my machine, there was also one other user in my work place who was having the same identical probem, after about an hour the engineer condemmed both machines, saying that the capacitors were leaking and this was causing the machines to crash. I started to think, how he came to this conclusion when he hadn't even opened the cases. I had a look at my event viewer, and discovered that was riddled with error messages that coincided with each time my machine went down. The error was an auto enrollment error, I then had a look at the other users event viewer and this had the same error messages. I notfied my IT dept, about what I had found, and they asked if I could do a screen print and send it to them, which I did and within 3 hours the situation on both machines was resolved, and there was no need to have the PCs replaced.

I have to admit that following this course has not been easy, not in terms of the level of the work but finding time in such a busy life. I decided to do this course as I had come to a time in my life when I realized things had to change, I could no longer carry on doing the same old monotonous day job and living the same life, and the only way forward to better myself and succeed was to do a course. I have always loved working with computers and everything to do with them always came naturally to me. Over the years times have been tough having to deal with losing touch with my parents and then later finding out my mother has an incurable illness. My boyfriend has found it difficult to hold down a job for many years so we have always struggled with money worries but I have never and won't ever give up on him and am determined to help him make something of his life too. Just over a week ago I find out my boyfriend had yet again lost his job so instead of focusing on the negatives of the situation we looked at his positives and decided he needed to go back to college in order to fulfil his ambition of doing a degree. So I have been helping him prepare his application. I have always had a job and continuously brought home the money, I also negotiated with my employers for me to do an extra hour a day in order to earn more money to make ends meet but what comes along with doing more hours is less time to study for my course and extra tiredness as well as having to fit in normal everyday things like cooking, cleaning etc. I struggled for a while and I guess my course work suffered a little until I found a way of making things work. I now get up earlier in the morning and get to work an hour and a half before I am meant to start work and I do my college work and then any opportunity I get whether it's a break or lunch I will fit in some more college work. I find this way of working better as my brain is at it's best at the start of the day rather than I get home from work and I can notice the difference in my TMA results. I am really pleased with my result this month in particular as the first lesson in the next part of the course was more challenging because there was more to learn in that one lesson than in previous lessons. I will continue working away with the only thing I can cling to that keeps me going, the fact that once I have completed my course my life will be so much better.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the good work you guys do. I should let you know that I think life has been great and interesting since I started my course with the SkillsTrain on Web Design. The tutor team has been excellent in all respects, and have played an integral part in the process of giving me a thorough insights about my course as well as a new leap forward in my career.

I am pretty doing well in my course and I can admit that I have gained a lot of knowledge from the well-structured and simplified study manuals. Presently, I am in the last stage of my program. I can now see and acknowledged what it takes to design innovative and professional websites that exceeds customer's satisfaction.

Believe me, I just love everything about the Skillstrain. I am so happy at the stage I am now because I never thought I would get this far. I just wished I had got these skills before the previous ICT Web Design Competition. My entry would have been ranked among the top five.

Thanks SkillTrain for providing me the Adobe latest version of the Dreamweaver software. All I can say is that you all, are proactive in your attempt to make life a better place for us as well as leaving a legacy for other IT institution to emulate.

With my present skills, I am very proud of myself and I give all the glory to SkillsTrain for making this everlasting impression a reality.

I began the course last December, but have been slow in working my way through the first section. I decided to apply more time per week to study and have been pleased with my last three TMA results gaining a respectable minimum of 90%. I have just submitted my fifth TMA and look forward to maintaining the same rate of learning in the next stage of the course.

to and have recently started to get my teeth into the course and have learnt quite a lot so far.

I am now restarting my studies after a short break with illness and medication changes, I am positive that the course I am studying CIW Website design manager is well within my capabilities, if I work hard and achieve this part of the course (Javascript), I will succeed. This is a new and at first daunting subject but I am gradually grasping an understanding of the concept. I want to return to work in a satisfying job that I will enjoy, I now know that this is the right subject for me. I have always found being creative easy but have to work at technology a lot harder. This month I am going to try to complete at least half of this part of the course. My illness has been restricting for the last 7 years, but I have never stopped trying to overcome it. My aim is to complete this course and get back to work by the autumn this year.

Faced with a tight deadline, I have been trying to complete all work and acheive the highest results that I possibly can.

Nearing the end of the course I deem it necessary to start creating websites and establish myself with a portfolio of work. So, alongside the stress of trying to complete my coursework, I am also creating a website for a local charity.

Using my knowledge of design and development I have been able to complete the website (found at http://www.gapproject.co.uk).

For me this is a great sense of acheivement and feeling that everything I have worked so hard towards is finally coming into place.

Because of this course ive taken from SkillsTrain I have made 2 professional websites for businesses. Showplatescheshire.com and Elitevaletparking.co.uk. I have made a booking system for Elite Valet Parking and implemented javascript booking form into the website. This earned me a sum of around £2000 which I think youll agree is quite an achievement considering I'm only 16 years old.
Thanks for all your help SkillsTrain.

I won't lie, it has been a long hard and at times frustrating road, I am now near the end of the course and am currently starting my own Web Design company. Which seems to be doing OK. This new role allows me to work the hours that suit me, so I can also be with my family. none of this would I have been able to acheive without thew help of Skills Train.

I do complete all my course work successfuly and in time, the outcome of my results are attributed to my sleepless nights and willingness to read through my E-Commerce and Project Management materials. My exceptional results for 11th, 14th and 21st of March 2008 were achieved through hardwork, determination and time management skills. I studied my course work materials thoroughly and this has reflected in my marks (100% record).

I have achieved all this through my restricted schedule as I work full time as Scheme Manager and also as Priest.

Since starting this course I have learnt the "basics" of internet browsing, software, networking and email security aswell as FTP and its necessity in the I.T industry. These basics I thought I already knew, the course has taught me new things, and developed on knowledge I already had. I am now learning to use Dreamweaver CS3, learning to organise my desktop space and have learnt that keeping a a good regimental file structure is essential. To many this May not be an "achievement" as such. To me, this course was a key handed to me unlocking my new future, I have the tools, knowledge and support I need to provide myself with a new career. I am looking forward to moving on with parts B and C but realise part A is just as important, and that you have to learn to crawl before you can walk. Many thanks. Kind regards.

I am very close to finishing my course in E-commerce and Project Managment. It has not been easy at all, there were times when I just did not want to open my book to study but I'm happy that I have not given up and hope to finish very soon. Thank you SkillsTrain, without you it would not have been possible for me to learn so much about E-commerce, and the fact that it compliments my degree in business, is an added bonus.

This course has helped me more than I could ever expect.
A friend has just become the owner of a Country House Hotel.
She had a website but I helped to add new pages and gain more search engine optimism. All of which were successful. I now keep the website up to date and submit special offers on other sites where appropriate. I have also helped another friend understand some more about how her website works.
I never thought I would have all this knowledge but the more I do the more confident I get and I haven't finished studying yet which at times can be difficult with 2 young children.
