IT Training Courses Certification Reviews
I am very happy to have commenced this course. At 40 I have been in the Electrical/Electronics Industry for 20 years but work wasn't always available and decided to take a change of direction in my career.
I find the course fascinating when relating to my everyday use of my pc and how things work.I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a change in a mundane dead-end job.Thank you skillstrain for opening my eyes

I think my Tutor marked assignments have been very good, since I have started doing the A+ course. I have now completed part A and B of Essentials and Enterprise technician and waiting to do the two exams. I am currently doing N+ part B; I have already completed part A. Once I have worked through the tutor marked assignments for N+ I will then attempt the exam. Then I can start the CCNA part of the course, which for me this main and most important part. Before taking on this course, I had very good understanding about computer. However with good progression I have learnt a great deal about the core of computing and networking. My knowledge and understanding of computer is better now, I feel confident enough to teach other about computers.
Whilst doing the A+ course I have been building my own personal computer at home. I have also become a family technician. I helped my friend build his own computer from scratch and help family members' set-up home networking and wireless connection. Friends and family call me for advice about computers and any problems they come across. Using the A+ knowledge I have also managed to maintain computer to good working standard. I am only three exams away from completing two thirds of the course. I will hopefully start looking for new jobs related to A+ and N+.

But with the support of my wife and 5 lovely children and of course skills train for giving me the chance to start a new life for my family and i. Im looking forward to taking my exam and becoming qualified at I job I love doing. Thanks skills train for changing my life.

I am a young married polish person looking for a long term future in England and the I.T.Industry. I would like to be considered for student of the month, because it would greatly encourage me to study more and complete the course work faster. I find it very difficult to do my I.T.Work, because I work 50hrs a week and I find it hard to write and understand English. I do 8-10hrs, sometimes more on course work, but I am sure with encouragement and commitment and studying every spare moment on your Skillstrain I.T.Course. It will give me and my family a good future.

I started my course in January and since then I have enjoyed working though the first book of the PC Hardware and Maintenance - Essentials. I recently went on a two week trip where I managed to work through five TMA's. I have submitted the first one and scored 100%. I really feel that I will put that little bit of extra effort in now that I have achieved this.
-Franky
Completed and submitted 8 TMA in April and achieved 94% marks (average). I am really happy with this progression as it giving me confidence to reach my goal quickly and successfully.

I have been working a 50 hour week in a busy IT department in Stockport, Manchester as well as working 20 hours a weekend in a bar doing pub work to fund my course. Despite all of the working hours I have still managed in the last month to have submitted 6 TMA's with none scoring less than 90%.
-Richard
After a good start on TMA 01 (pass 85%) I dropped like a stone and achieved only 77% on TMA 02. This spurred me on to study harder and also use other sources for study, the result was incredible as I achieved a 100% pass on TMA 03 & TMA 04. I was not only very pleased with these results but I shocked even myself as I had hoped to at least bring my pass mark back above 80% mark. I intend to continue studying in this manner and aiming for the top.

After being diagnosed with cancer l thought that was the end of everything including my capability of studying. The only thing that keeps me going even if l suffer a lot from chemotherapy side effects is my College Course as it is the only thing that gives me a reason to want to live even more. This month l have passed with an average of 92%.

I have faced some serious problems in last two months and my studies were totally freezed due to the reason that I went to Pakistan because my mother got serious arm fracture.I was not in a position to leave as I already lost my job. I was in financial crises as well and at some stage I thought I wont be able to continue my studies. But thanks to Skills Train College and CDF who supported me alot and encouraged me to continue my course. After a long break of about two months I again started sending my TMAs and now I have covered all that time which was lost and managed to complete three assignments in 10 days.I am enjoying these studies now and will encourage my friends to join Skills Train because of there dedication and support I have got.

I have gained a greater understanding of what each component of a computer does and how these contribute to the working of the computer itself. I have also progressed relatively well through the course so far and achieved better results in my tutor marked assignments than I expected

I feel im learning a lot from this course a lot more than I thought I knew which is good because its helping me a lot more than I thought
-Jonathon
I passed my A+ about a month ago with about 90% in the second of the two exams...I have also had several opportunities to implement what I have learnt, fixing problems on my own system and my girlfriend's laptop. Friends and coworkers now regularly come to me with their PC problems. And all this from knowing virtually nothing about PC hardware or troubleshooting. I am now working hard on my N+ course...I am on the second book already and have been achieving regular scores on my TMAs of between 90 and 100 percent. I am very proud of these achievements as I am currently working 6 to 7 days a week and so have very little spare time to study!

I have just finished comptia a+ section 1 parts a and b ,I am waiting for my second part. And I have just built my own pc system of my own specification asus motherboard and intel dual core chip with a 2 gb memory and sata 320 gb hard drive and sata lightscribe I consider this a great achievement as I would never have attempted such a thing before I started out on the a + course with skills train.

Hi
Last few months I manage to wake up before 7 in the morning just to study, I devoted my time during weekends to make as much progress as possible, so far it is working quite well with me.
I am more than half way down the road, now and hoping to finish my course fairly soon.
It is great achievement taking in account that I am working full time, and learning a lot more at my new job.
-Nestor
In the past month I have had problems at work, very stressful problems. But last week I got 100% on my TMA04, I was ecstatic when I opened the letter. Also over the years I have helped my family using a computer, before I started this course I had some computer knowledge, but now I know more than ever, plus the Tutor team have been very helpful, THANKS GUYS!
-Stuart
Hi All
I have just passed my N+ whereas I have already passed my A+ exam, I am already doing job so couldn't get enough time to study, as I have to do everything at home by myself.
But I got very helpful course material, the way things were explained in books and after implementing them I have manage to learn a lot by myself, I was working as a sales Assistant in M&S but now hopefully after getting these certificates I am sure I will get any better job.
Now I manage to fix my friends PC even though I used to do it before but just from idea, but now I know exactly what is going on.
I suggested my to do home learning courses from skill train to get better idea what to do & how to do
-Naseer
I have managed to increase my Tutor Marked Assignment results by a significant amount through studying harder, I knew nothing about IT before when I started the course but now I started gained an excellent understanding, like last week I helped one of my friend how to use a pc.

I registered for this course on the 19th of March this year. In April I received the devastating news that my mother has cancer of the bone marrow and we were also told that there is no cure for this type of cancer although it can be treated with chemotherapy and hopefully go into remission for a few years but it will eventually come back. This was a huge shock to me and my family as my sister died from cancer nine years ago at the tender age of just 25. I am determined to do well in my chosen course so I found the strength to study hard and am delighted to say I have just received a grade of 95 percent in tutor marked assignment 1 of the netpro A+ course.
