IT Training Courses Certification Reviews
I have completed the A+ Course, and passed!
After passing the A+ Course, I realised, that I really need to pick up my game and get the N+ done so I could start on my CCNA+CCNP.
So I have been staying behind at work for 2 extra hours, just going though my N+. I have already completed 4 TMAs starting (Possibly 5 by the end of the month.) The results I have been getting from these TMAs have been nothing less that 100%.
I have also been through an Ofsted inspection at my college, which we were inspected on ILT. So even through immense pressure, I have been able to perform excellently. Starting this course, I believe I have turned over a new leaf. I have been more organised : I have created a file with all my notes, tma receipts and, tma results in, for each module.
I have been more self motivated : by staying behind at work every night for two hours.
I am understanding the N+ well and I am enjoying it, which is very important to learning.

In the moment I am developing a game using C# . Thats it, Cheers

I have been studying my Webmaster course for just over a year now. In that time I have learned a lot but I wouldn't say I was an expert just quite yet. I am currently working on a website for my sister which is really exciting being my first one. It is such an eye opener and a great way to learn and understand what I am doing. As I haven't yet covered quite a lot of aspects of the course which means I am having to do a lot of research and discovering what to do as I go along. I have currently uploaded a page on to the web which at the moment says 'under construction' as my sister wanted to buy the domain name and have her printing done before the finished article was complete. It gives you great confidence when people see your work and say wonderful things and I look forward to working on lots more projects in the future, as I have a few lined up already. Thanks Skills Train as I couldn't have done this with out your help.

After holding down a very demanding night job I have managed to study in the short time I have to myself in the morning. Not considering myself very academic I have studied hard and achieved really good results. This course will enable me to change career which is scary in itself, but I've taken the leap of faith and I'm looking forward to the future.

I'm extremely delighted that I have successfully completed the CCNP certification requirements and became CCNP certified.
It has been very long and exhausted journey which started back on October 2004. I began the course with N+ and I was doing pretty well according to my TMA results and in the same time I learned the basics & principles of Networking.
Unfortunately, I have had personal & family problems which drifted me away from pursuing my studying for more than 8 months, however, I always stayed positive & optimistic, knowing that I've got faith on my self & determination to achieve my goal regardless of all the circumstances.
So, back again to study with a lot of enthusiasm and by the end of autumn 2005 I completed N+ and then I started straight away with CCNA Introduction then CCNA ICND, I studied from books for the author Wendell Odom which Skills Train provided me along with their course materials, he is awesome really great author, I like his method of explain things in interesting style.
It took me more than a year and half to complete my CCNA certification, but by that time I was so confident to go and apply the online exam which I passed with score 949/1000 from the first go.
I didn't waste any time, immediately started the CCNP route beginning with Building Converged Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN 642-812) to be honest that was the most difficult exam ever I faced but I manage to pass with 879/1000 from the first go. So, I jumped to the next course The Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI 642-901) I really enjoyed that course and I managed to pass the exam with score 977/1000 from the first go.
By that time I've gained a lot of confidence & the fear, anxious about the exam has disappeared, I also learned how to deal with questions and more important to understand them very well in order to get the full marks.
For the last two exams The Implementing Secure Converged Wide Area Networks (ISCW 642-825) & Optimizing Converged Cisco Networks (642-845 ONT) I studied very hard up to 10 hours a day, eventually I managed to pass with remarkable score, Yes my score was 1000/1000!!! for each exam from the first go!
As I mentioned earlier it has been really long journey & I have learnt a lot of skills in IT and in Networking particularly.
I would like to say that the help & support I received from Skills Train either through Emails, Live Internet Training, Labs or through Cisco Academy was inexpressible and I am extremely grateful for your assistance and advice which guided me all my way through to achieve the CCNP certification.

I am quite new to the concept of home education & learning.
My last studies out of the work place were carried out in 1985 when I took my "O" levels! So far I have submitted 4 TMA's for the start of my course, whilst running my restaurant business ( I am the Chef/Manager) and am here hands on for over 12 hours a day. I am also the father of two young children under the age of 4.........so spare time is scarce to say the least! Still, TMA001 100% TMA002 93% TMA003 90% (with my first incorrect answer) I am gobsmacked by the progress I am making. (I guess it's a good job I like reading non fiction books!)

I started the a+ in December 2007 and just passed both exams on 23rd May 2008

I completed my first assignment with a 100% mark, and have just submitted the second, hopefully with a similar result. I have managed to juggle my full-time job, and being a single mum to my 3 year old son. May has thrown many obstacles in my way including my step mum being diagnosed with cancer, and having to support her through the tests, as well as my sons childminder handing in her notice leaving me with 2 weeks 2 find and settle my son in 2 alternative childcare.

I've just scored 100% on my Section 2 Part A TMA02 paper!!
Plus I've recently moved from England to Wales, found my true love and got married within 6 months, we then moved again into a temporary mobile home while we sell our respective properties. All this has been going on while I've been looking after my newly taken on family - a son of 20 years who suffers severely with diabetes which results in him having a hypo every week where we have to phone for an ambulance and then hang around in the hospital for at least 11 hours before he stabilises. I therefore believe I deserve a medal for being able to keep up with my studies with all this going on in my life.
Thank you very much Skillstrain.

I passed my foundation exam and despite having a fire in my flat, computer failure and being under serious financial pressure I came through it all to achieve my goal.
I've built my website and created my own SQL database and CMS. I have also constructed my computer and setup my own home LAN.

Since doing my course non of my colleagues knew how much I knew about website design. When my Cheif Executive found this out I was given a 4 month secondment within the IT Department within the company. I am now help to create websites for our clients and also creating the new company website. I have also been ask to create some Flash images which is one of my favourite areas I have studied in my course. I am also project managing a system to reduce the work load of the accounts department. If I can prove how excited I am about creating the websites I hope I get offered to take on more.

Battled through JavaScript but I think completed it with a great internet page of mine and my families cars with all the links correct and photos. This was a hard task and I found it tough but loved that I could pull together all that I learned to make a great page
Currently working hard on Perl. Making good progress

Last month I was so sick and I wasn't able to continue my course for about a month and all the time before that I had been trying to score 100% but wasn't able to achieve that I could only get close to 95%.After I got better I focused myself on the course again and tried harder to achieve my goal and this time I was able to score 100%, which felt good. Now I try even harder to keep up with it.This course has taught me a lot about the IT, things that I was using but was not aware of it.

In July 2007 I was revising in preparation for my Network+ exam, when my partner started having complications with her pregnancy. We had to travel to London every week to see the specialists. It was not possible to carry on the course whilst all this was going on. At the end of September, our identical twin boys were born by emergency C-section 12 weeks early. We had to commute from Worthing to Portsmouth (1 hour drive each way) every day to see them. We took Alex home early December, but little Philip died a week later. The whole story is on my blog www.rkingshott.co.uk .
Once we were home, I had to start revising from scratch for the exam as well as restarting full time work. I am glad to say that I passed the Network+ exam earlier this month and am now getting back on track with my MCSA and hope to complete this by the end of this year.

I would like to put Jonathan in for student of the month because since he has started the course he has the course life hasn't been easy for him. I was taken ill and Jonathan has looked after me, work to bring in money to support me and our 3 boys and tried to do as much to the course as he can even to the stage he wouldn't go to bed until he had read through the course work. he has worked really hard and some evening not coming home from work to about 10 or 11 o'clock I feel that the work and effort he has put in and everything he has to do in the day needs rewarding this is why I would like to put him in for student of the month. I also feel that he has worked hard as on the last 7 tmas he has got 100% every time. he is now working towards tma 17 with real dedication to try and finish the course but it doesn't help when he has to spend hours up the hospital with my self as I have taken a turn for the worse. I have wrote without Jonathan knowing as I feel he wouldn't put himself in for this award.
thanks

I RECENTLY PASSED MY COMPTIA A+ WITH A GOOD OVERALL SCORE. I AM NOW MAKING GOOD PROGRESS ON THE SECOND HALF OF MY N+ COURSE WHICH HAS PROVED TO BE BOTH CHALLENGING AND INTERESTING. I REGULARLY SCORE BETWEEN 80 AND 100 PERCENT IN MY TMAs. I HAVE HAD MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO PUT MY NEWLY LEARNED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS INTO PRACTICE, HAVING REPAIRED MY OWN PC AND MY GIRLFRIEND'S LAPTOP, AS WELL AS FREQUENTLY GIVING TROUBLESHOOTING ADVICE TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. ITS OFTEN BEEN A STRUGGLE FINDING TIME TO STUDY WITH 2 JOBS AND PERSONAL COMMITMENTS GETTING IN THE WAY BUT I FEEL POSITIVE THAT I'M ON MY WAY TO A NEW CAREER, ALL THANX TO SKILLSTRAIN! CHEERS!

Firstly im 13 and doing this course is a big achievement for me. I've been doing it for some weeks an already I've learnt a lot of new things I didn't know, I understand things a lot of my peers don't , and I got 85 & on my first assignment , which for me is quite good.

I have managed to do my coursework under real pressure off having a mental illness. Bipolar is manic Depression but I hear voices too. So getting my coursework done and my TMAs can be very difficult but I managed it. even though I was very depressed. Just goes to show nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.

Besides what I said before I would like to add that I am registered disabled have been since I left the army in 82 ,even though I could not work for a company(because of3 crushed vertabrea & arthritis in the back) when I've finished the course I will be able to fix mine & my family's computers & maybe work for myself but it just goes to show that skills train is an equal opportunity college & if I can do it any one can abled or disabled .

My partner has just had a baby and its been difficult with a new born around but I have been working really hard to try and catch up with my course over the last month or so, and I am really starting to enjoy the N+ course, probably because its all stuff that I dont know and that I WANT to learn it.
